WHAT'S L'EPICERIE DU JAZZ?  "2018 Laureates of the Jazz Festival of Vannes, l'Epicerie du Jazz (literally "Jazz Deli") is a French Jazz Quartet, majorly inspired by French Jazz songs masters such as Claude Nougaro. Margaux Kayser sings in French, English and Polish over Rémy-Benjamin Lesage's groove (drums), and Hugo Rongières's rock influences (bass) carry the classical lyricism of Quentin Lupinko's guitar. Taking off from Poland, thanks to a summer tour in 2017, the band lands in october on the stage of a famous Parisian Jazz Club, le Baiser Salé. An annual concert residency allows them to compose until the 2018 music contest of the Festival de Jazz en Ville, in Vannes, Britanny. The prize they win in Vannes leads them to the recording studio from which they will emerge on March 29th 2019, for the Release Party of their 1st Album: l'Epicerie du Jazz En Visages - or l'Epicerie du Jazz in Portraits". II. OUR STORY: It all began in Poland. A stage above a beautiful lake, an attentive audience, a garage lost in the countryside, a campfire... Fine, it all began in a rotten parisian bar. At the time, we had no drummer, no stylist, no limousine, nothing!  Three years later, we're about to release our first album. "My oh my ! What a journey !" we can hear you say. You bet... We performed on a tiny stage at the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Ba1ly2ZlnZi/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet" target="_blank">Baiser Salé...</a>and we were just fine on that of the Festival de Vannes: <img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/565621/tremplin-1548084733.jpg" width="100%" /> We played Polish music in Poland...<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="362" src="https://www.instagram.com/p/BXfy0pmFUW3/embed" width="500"></iframe> ...and Cuban rhythms in Clermont-Ferrand (Central France): <div class="k-ResponsiveIframeContainer"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="553" src="https://www.instagram.com/p/BlNVNannh2A/embed" width="500"></iframe></div> III. OUR 1st ALBUM: Ladies & Gentlemen, we are approaching our final stop, after this 2 year journey departing in Poland...landing at the Zèbre de Belleville, for our Release Party on Friday 29th of March 2019.  However, for the journey to end safely, we need you, dear co-pilots. Your mission? Pre-order, via this platform, your CD or Vinyl, a signed poster, a private gig at your house or a private lesson from one of us...to help us fund the expedition till the last stop! You helped us believe in ourselves, and be able to create and move forward, these last three years.  Will you help us release our 1st album and show the world what on earth this Jazz Deli is about?

RECIPE FOR AN ALBUM: A cup of Music = 7600€ <ul> <li>Recording and mixing studio = 6500€</li> <li>Mastering = 1100€</li> </ul> An ounce of CD & Vinyls = 3150€ <ul> <li>CD & Vinyls Pressing = 2300€</li> <li>Artwork = 650€</li> <li>Taxes = 200€</li> </ul> ...and a teaspoon of Communication! = 3250€ <ul> <li>Press Relations = 1000€</li> <li>Design & Print = 250€</li> <li>Crowdfunding video = 400€</li> <li>And a very cool Release Party in Paris…= 1600€</li> </ul> LET'S CALCULATE: - What we need = 14 000€ - What we have = a 1500€ prize from the music contest + the bottom of our pockets - What we need to reach for the campaign: 8000€ = almost 60% of total budget "BUT WHY IS THE GOAL SMALLER THAN THE ACTUAL TOTAL BUDGET?" Because, if we don't reach the goal before the campaign ends, we lose everything and every contributor is refunded...:( that's the dangerous game of crowdfunding! However, if ever, thanks to you, we reach MORE than 8000€, we would then be able to refund all of our costs and reinvest in other projects such as...I don't know...a videoclip? An international tour? A show? We have ideas. Also, let us specify that all funds will be collected by the Epicerie du Jazz association, and no one else, and for no other purpose than our album !
