La Réunification des Deux Corées

<p> As the french-speaking theater company of McGill University, we aim to promote French theater within the student community, and Francophonie in general. Following our first success in staging a play from Molière's work, "Le Malade Imaginaire", we are looking to present to our audience a more contemporary work with the staging of the play "La Réunification des deux Corées" by Joël Pommerat.</p> <p>  </p> <p>              <img alt="Img_4360-1424218559" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/163910/IMG_4360-1424218559.JPG"></p> <p>  </p> <p> Through a mosaic of twenty singular moments, <em>La Réunification des deux Corées </em>explores the complexity of romantic relations. Lovers, friends, married couples or adulterers, ancient history or fling, all paint a realist picture of what brings us together and rips us apart at the same time. Real or simply felt, there is no love, only signs of love.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong><u>Our team:</u></strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>- Victor Gassman: President of Franc Jeu</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> Franc-Jeu was created last year, and has been extremely popular from its beginning, testifying of a high demand for French-speaking theatre on campus. The project of Franc-Jeu is not only to allow francophone comedians to express themselves, but also to make the art of theatre more accessible by rejuvenating its image. “La Réunification des Deux Corées” is consistent with these goals as we are working on the production of a deeply modern show, both by its text and staging. </p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>- Maximilien Bouchaud: Director</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> As director of this play, I am responsible for the set-up and coordination of the elements that constitute the play: the actors, their movements, the lighting, the rhythm, the setting. I make sure that there is an artistic coherence and harmony in the acting. Directing this play means a lot because I am a great admirer of Joël Pommerat’s captivating universe, for he puts to light simple aspects of our life that speaks to all, without giving you a lesson. We would like to create our own version of this play.  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>- Alexis du Fayet de la Tour: Responsable Production</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> As Production Manager I take care of everything around the stage ( lights, the setting). I work very closely with the director regarding the staging in order to better prepare the production of this play. I also work with the Finance Executive in order to find the necessary funds to make this wonderful project possible.</p> <p> <strong>- Edouard Paul: Finance Executive</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> As the Finance Executive, I am in charge of finding the necessary funds for the production of the play.
