Our project is supported by the french association Drink The World. It was created by two girls from Burgundy who are passionated about wine, travel and adventure.

OUR PROJECT

 

The project involves traveling around the world for a year  to meet  with winemakers, to exchange and share their views on terroir and winemaking traditions. 

 

 

Our triphas two main aims. First, we want to support the inclusion of the "climats" of the Burgundian vineyard in the UNESCO World Heritage List (see http://www.bourgogne-wines.com/home-press-room/release/gallery_files/site/289/1910/9647.pdf). Secondly, we intend to create a data base on terroir driven wines around the world.

 

 

 

 

OUR TARGETS

 

We would like to create :

 

- a website, allowing you follow our adventure, that will become a tool to improve your knowledge about terroir-driven wines. We plan to write about our encounters, share our experiences, impressions and all our videos and pictures. And most oçf all, we'll be posting about the wines we tasted !

 

- a bookIt will be both an educational tool presenting the wine regions with key data and a travel partner for those in search of authenticity, with advice on areas to visit or places around wine to be discovered such as restaurants, shops and monuments. 

 

 

 

 

 

OUR ITINERARY

 

 

How we will choose the countries we visit

We will explore terroir far from Burgundy but inspired by its tradition. Starting with very old wine countries such as Armenia and Israel, we shall continue on the famous wine regions such as South Africa or New Zealand, and end with expanding wine countries such as Oregon or Brazil...

Allocation of funds

Our forecast budget is:

 

- Communication Tools (website, software): 15 000 €

- Travel Expenses (transportation, accommodation, food): 32 000 €

- Equipment (camera, video camera, handheld recorder): 2 000 €

 

We plan to finance our project as much as we can. Nevertheless, we need your help for its success.

 

We need to raise about 6 000€ to work with an advertising agency to build our website.
