Our ingredients come in raw form so there's no pre-made, mass manufactured goods crossing our threshold. Our space will be welcoming, inviting, and a place that you want to spend your time. Each handcrafted beverage will be made by someone who cares about the quality of the drink they give you.

Macadamia Bakery will be the first of its kind in Strasbourg: a coffee shop and bakery hybrid dedicated to authentic, freshly made anglo-Australian cakes and savouries. You'll be able to watch our products being made each day on the premises from ingredients of the highest quality from our glass-walled production kitchen.
We are a husband and wife team who adore cake, great coffee and love to feed people! Pamela, born and raised in Australia, and Florian, a native Frenchman; have teamed up to bring the first dedicated and authentic Anglo-saxon pâtisserie to Strasbourg.
Pamela comes from a family of bakers, having grown up working in her parents bakery which they owned for over 17 years. Getting a taste for baking from an early age, she has a dedicated her education to the cause: gaining certification in cookery and a degree in business to ensure that she knows what she's doing by leading this business forward. She has been baking cakes and cupcakes for friends and family for many years, even catering a few events on the side.
Florian brings his tech and people leadership experience to the team; setting up all our IT needs, including our digital loyalty program, as well as training our staff to make every interaction relaxed, attentive and friendly.
Our chief barista comes all the way from London after spending several years working in the coffee industry, most importantly as a coffee master and manager at the world's largest coffee chain. She brings all that experience to our coffee menu, ensuring that only the best is served to our customers.
Both a patisserie and a coffee shop, we will have something delicious for everyone. Whether it's something sweet like a piece of our passionfruit cheesecake or an Australian classic Lamington (a fluffy square of vanilla sponge dipped in chocolate syrup and rolled in coconut); something savoury for lunch, or something from our satisfying drink menu - your breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea is taken care of, all brought to you with an Australian twist.
You'll be able to get a small taste of Australia without leaving this wonderful city!
Our products will be prepared fresh daily in our glass-walled kitchen and sold the same day to ensure that we only serve the freshest products possible. We will also serve high quality coffee, hot and cold drinks - prepared by our specially trained baristas to ensure a satisfying and consistant beverage which can sometimes be hard to find! Our drinks will be available in different sizes, suiting every appetite - including a jumbo takeaway size which will satisfy even the most thirsty coffee lover!
We have found our dream shop and are still negotiating with the landlord to get it secured.
Our shop will be bright, relaxing, and beautifully decorated to become a place you want to spend your time in.
Our current aim is to launch Macadamia bakery this year. We can't wait to start decorating and setting up!
Although it's not our primary aim, Macadamia Bakery will also try to be "parent-friendly" with a space for parents to meet (enough space for strollers and easy navigation between tables with children) to make it easier for hip parents to get their coffee fix when it's not possible to leave baby at home.

Cakes (layer cakes, loaf cakes, cupcakes, tray cakes, sponge cakes, etc)
Tartines/open-faced sandwiches, including posh beans on toast, avocado smashed on toast, and our magnificent skirt steak sandwich with caramelised onions.
What is an Australian bakery without a sausage roll or a meat pie?! Our bakers will prepare meat and vegetarian versions of these beloved Aussie classics; including steak, spinach and ricotta, pork and fennel, and spicy chickpea wrapped in flaky pastry.
Our beverage options will include all your favourite coffee-based drinks, a house-made hot chocolate that will knock your socks off, and top-quality teas from Australia and the UK. Other specialities will include a home-made iced tea, lemonade and freshly squeezed juice - no concentrates or pre-made syrups! Cold brew coffee (sweeter and less acidic than using hot espresso shots) will be the base of our iced coffee range, as well as pour-over filter coffee and a range of Australian-inspired coffee drinks such as a flat white, piccolo and more!
Brunch and Afternoon tea will be available on weekends so you'll be able to take the time to relax and enjoy our specialities.
We will also offer a catering service for special occasions, cupcake making/decorating classes, and a small selection of merchandise.
