'YALE MANUAL FOR PSILOCYBIN-ASSISTED THERAPY OF DEPRESSION' into French

Translation, into French, of the 'YALE MANUAL FOR PSILOCYBIN-ASSISTED THERAPY OF DEPRESSION':

This manual provides researchers and therapists with methods, structure and areas of consideration for the use of psilocybin-assisted therapy in the treatment of major depressive disorders (MDD). In particular, this manual illustrates how Acceptance and Engagement Therapy (ACT) can be used as a therapeutic framework for psilocybin-assisted therapy for depression."

This manual is all the more interesting in light of the fact that, for the second time in a year, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has designated psilocybin therapy — currently being tested in clinical trials — as a "breakthrough therapy", an action that aims to accelerate the generally slow process of drug development and testing. It is generally requested by a pharmaceutical company and is only granted when preliminary evidence suggests that the drug may represent a huge improvement over the therapy already available, according to the FDA.

As a professional, independent translator for the past 6 years (mainly in the medical and "wellness" field), and having myself benefited to some great extent from psilocybin (off-clinic) — a substance to which I greatly attribute my psychological remission following nearly 10 years of depression — I would now like to put my professional expertise to good use by translating this book, which, based on my experience with these "supposedly" magical mushrooms, resonates with me dearly.

The manual in question is just over 25,000 words (57 pages) and its translation should take between 2 and 3 weeks.

In exchange for your donation, you will receive a digital copy of the manual in French.

This fundraising will, I hope, enable me to make a "material" profit sufficient to cover my overhead costs — in addition to the "immaterial" prestige of participating in the dissemination of this manual and the (r)evolutionary ideas it contains, in my opinion — and the Yale Psychedelic Science Group. If the campaign fails, I will translate it regardless; let's just say it will take much longer. Thank you in advance for your contribution however small!
