The Gaman Games Studio Based in the Pays de la Loire region, The Gaman Games Studio is comprised of a passionate team of creators, developers, and visionaries exploring various forms of narrative in gaming. Mana and Mathias, at the helm of the studio, are dedicated to crafting enriching experiences that spark imagination and nurture curiosity. The studio currently houses two universes: Moonwakers and InnerQuest. Initial production efforts are focused on the development of Moonwakers. The second universe, InnerQuest, will immerse players in an adventure within the human body. The Campaign Project After winning an award at the GameCup in partnership with KissKissBankBank and La Banque Postale, we are launching this campaign to help us finance our first project: Moonwakers. The project involves the release of Episode 01 of the video game, along with a card game and a book set in the same universe. The captivating story of Moonwakers, revealed through messages you'll discover as you explore, will immerse you in an interstellar adventure full of mysteries and twists, set in a futuristic context with both technological and poetic ambiance. Stretch goals The Video Game Our first objective is to release a PC/MAC version of the video game by the end of 2024, focusing on Episode 01 of Moonwakers. The style of the video game is a roguelite (characterized by randomly generated levels and progression based on trial and error). What is your mission in this game? As an Android, you'll need to explore this unknown planet to identify its habitability, by collecting various chemical elements necessary for life (Carbon, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Sulfur, and Phosphorus). You will need to regularly shelter your character to escape ion storms. Exploration will allow you to acquire new skills, thereby increasing your autonomy, speed, and ability to move. The board game Moonwakers: Activation (for 2 to 4 players) will immerse you in the mechanics of Episode 1 through a dynamic and strategic card game! Each player will control one of the 6 S.E.E.Ds, exploration androids, each with a special ability. *The card visuals presented in this photo are for prototyping purposes only. The final visuals will be created by our team, drawing inspiration from elements of the video game.* Your goal will be to explore as many terrain cards as possible by collecting as many chemical combinations as possible while avoiding accidents and attacks from other players. Expect many twists and turns! The Book Moonwakers: Reminiscences will take the form of a non-linear novel. Gathering the logbooks of various characters from the ark, a transtemporal vessel, you will witness different eras and major decision-making moments that led to the dispatch of androids in search of other planets capable of harboring life.
