Donations for a new scooter for social welfare activities - Bundelkhand, India!

About 7 years ago, a truly fantastic adventure was starting for me, a long long journey, which took me to a country I have always loved, Mother India !!

India won my heart, pushed me to my limits, and also awakened in me the desire for deeper engagement.
I became dedicated to selflessly serving the lowest strata of society.

My reward and my salary came in the form of smiles, conversations, endless gratitude, bursts of laughter and many realizations which kept me passionate and alive.

I also learnt detachment from the material, living in one of the most backward parts of India.

Bundelkhand, where the holy city of Chitrakoot lies, suffers from critical environmental and hygiene conditions as a result of draught and water scarcity.

I started by documenting this reality, and now here I am, collaborating with organizations, diverse administrations and local personalities, for the sake of villagers, whose trust it has taken me many years and endless cups of shared chai to gain. Now I can work with long term aims and goals in mind.

Allocation of funds

Actions that have already been initiated are:
- A rural outreach medical project for an american NGO
- Donation/distribution of material of primary needs in a selection of villages
- Equipment and stationery for extremely remote and precarious educational centres.
- The making of qualitative content through videos, pictures and detailed ground level reports, in order to make advocacy cases for communities (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes)  and link them with local administration (all topics linked to basics needs like water access, hygiene etc).
- implementation of supplementation programs (based on nutritious and natural local resources, superfoods etc) in some schools where malnutrition is rampant.
- The implementation of technical projects with participation of specialists, workshops for e.g. a zero cost DIY version of closed oven, natural farmings good practices; awareness program about pollution and environmental issues, seeds banks creation, rain water harvesting programs.
- The creation of high value processed local resources likely to support women on their path towards sustainability and financial independence (moringa powder, pure aloe vera gel, natural herbal soaps...)
- The help for creation of women self help groups to enable them to know their Rights, support access to information and to better living conditions (hygiene, health, literacy)
- The management of a few heavy medical cases located in the project area (coordination of medical follow up, surgery, hospital visit, medication etc)

I want to carry on these actions efficiently and independently. A minimum of basic infrastructure is necessary for that !
Last year, my bag (my house!) with all my electronic material for documenting and working was stolen and so I renewed it at the minima from my resources. This year, to top it up, my scooter was also stolen on the field...

Because I really need one in such a deep rural zone and have no sufficient resources to get it on my own, I decided this time to call for donations and your generosity ! Also a super cool opportunity for you to support ground level actions through me and the small NGO that I collaborate with !

So dear friends, I am in your hands !

Notes :
1. Of course, when I don't get use of the scooter, it will be at the disposal of others social workers of NGO Akhil Bhartiya Samaj Seva Sansthan. with whom I collaborate now closely - here are a few useful links if you wish to dig the subject :
