PARIS GiRLS ROCK CAMP! in Paris 11e
Since 2011, we have offered our summer enrichment program using music and the arts to empower women and girls in St. Denis, a suburb of Paris. We have expandinoffer our bilingual music & creative arts project throughout all of the Paris Region. The cultural department of the Mairie 11th Arrondissement (Town Hall) has become our partner, offering the use of their fully accessible building. Now we ask you the public to support the additional instruments, supplies for activities, and salaries for our teachers & staff !
What happens at PARIS GiRLS ROCK CAMP ?
19 - 23rd AUGUST, we hosted 15 girls (ages 8 to 16) from all economic backgrounds. This is a week-long intensive program, that ends with a performance by the girls in a public concert. The day runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Instruments, supplies, lunch, workshops, and field trips are all included in the camp tuition-fees (approximately 350€ per girl.)
Each day, the girls arrive at camp: learn how to play an instrument, form a band, write songs, practice and do fun creative activities in FRENCH and ENGLISH !

Allocation of funds
We NEED your support !
Sustaining this exciting growth is a huge undertaking.
The purchasing and maintenance of musical instruments, as well as the hiring of professional teachers and coordinators can be expensive.
The cost of camp is approximately :
€350 (per girl) x 15 (girls) = €5250 (functionary budget)
Thanks to volunteers, partners, and donors (like you), we are able to offer this camp at a reduced fee of a minimum contribution of 75 € from the girls. We also offer scholarships (bourse d'étude), to those girls that are not able to make the minimal contribution. Your donation will help us to provide the PARIS GiRLS ROCK CAMP experience to ALL girls.
Our minimum expenses to organize this camp:
€800 musical equipment (ex. drumsticks, cymbals, guitar picks, cables)
€800 equipment and supplies for creative/handcraft workshops (photography, drawing, painting etc.)
€550 administration fees (publicity, rent, transportation, assurance, and salary for our bureau)
€400 office supplies (ex. printer, pens, paper, badges)
€1500 second hand musical instruments (ex. guitar, drum kit, left-handed bass)

POURQUOI LES FILLES?
WHY GIRLS? WHY NOT?
Our program is impacting the COMMUNITY.
We need your help to not only off-set the daily operational costs of camp, but to also ensure our association's ability to continue offering it's programming which boosts self-esteem and positive image. To the girls and women that participate in our camps, we offer more than just a music program: we provide an opportunity of personal growth within a dynamic of positive group exchange. After one week, our campers are more confident and self-reliant human beings. This is a life changing experience that they will have forever.
Our program is impacting the WORLD.
We are an international camp.
Our non-profit program is part of the international organisation Girls Rock Camp Allicance (GRCA). There are 43 members groups that give similar programs all over the world in the EU, North and South America. We are the FIRST French speaking and bi-lingual program of it's kind.
Now in our 3rd season, we are pleased to present PARIS GiRLS ROCK CAMP in the center of PARIS hosted at Mairie of the 11th arrondissement.

HOW WAS PARIS GiRLS ROCK FOUNDED IN FRANCE ?...
PARIS GiRLS ROCK was founded by Toli Nameless who landed in Paris in 2008.
Following a long music tradition in New York and successful international touring career , she fell in love with the idea of combining music and education. She said that ' it has always been my passion'. It was through her own pocket, in-kind, micro-monetary donations, partnerships, and dedicated volunteer workers that she has formed PARIS GiRLS ROCK.
