PASARELA PROGRAM

PASARELA ART PROGRAM is an initiative of AcÁ Paris, a non-profit organization dedicated to promote Central American talent in France since 2016. WHO IS ACÁ PARIS ? AcÁ - Paris (Association of Central Americans in Paris) team is eager to represent Central American artists to the French and European public. WHAT IS PASARELA ART PROGRAM ? Based on an open call, this new art program will allow promising emerging and established artists to obtain a full grant for an artist residency in France. AcÁ Paris has partenered with Cité Internationals des Arts (Paris), Dos Mares (Maresille) and Parcelle d'air (Burgundy) to host an artist for two months and half to develop and share their practice. We are currently working on partnering with other institutions and residencies willing to be part of our hosting network. WHY HELP CENTRAL AMERICAN ART DEVELOPP ? Knowing that art in Central America might not be priority A, yet strongly believing that artistic expression needs to stay alive thus being the soul of society, we want to grant selected artists with the oportunity of a residency overseas. Central America has multiple talents and a lot of potential that need to be nurtured, shared, be seen and be heard. In fact, artists represent and showcase the reality of their time as much as their dreams. They vouch for change in a creative way. At AcÁ Paris, we believe that there is no better way to showcase and share the richness of cultures than through "flesh and blood" encounters, thus we are eager to create bridges between Central America and France through the arts. Here are some artworks of Central American artists : All these art references from Central America are non exhaustive. All images courtesy and property of the artists.
