Hello ! 👋 We are Pascal and Thomas, the co-founders of the start-up Slide REV. Initially, we both wanted to develop a product that responded to our common passions of sliding sports and motor sports. 4 years ago, life did things well and put us on the road, one and the other. Today we need you to help us make it all possible. 🌟 Thanks to it’s three wide wheels and well thought-through mechanics, the R.B One opens the way for a whole new generation of vehicles: the Road Boards. Powerful, flexible, road boards will give you an optimized set of sensations, directly inspired by motorsports. Thanks to its engineering, our board closely emulates the specific flow you would feel on snowboards, surfboards, or even skis. Tilting technology is essential to the R.B One : it optimizes and reinforces the edge grip in turns. When you lean, it’s like the whole board leans with you. Unifying its movement with yours, the winding of the curves becomes very lively, responsive and intuitive. The R.B One directly takes its inspiration from motorsports. Fluid and incisive, it perfectly follows the laws of Ackermann’s geometry. When a car gets into a curve, the inside wheel engages more than the outside. As a result, they roll around the same point : the turning center. This property is called Ackermann's Directional Geometry. This mechanical feature improves controllability: steering is easier because the wheels are aligned with their own trajectory. This cancels unnecessary friction between the wheels and the ground. 🥇 Innovative, the R.B one is the first Personal Mobility Device of the market to feature it. The direction is fluid, the steering is accurate. With its well thought through truck, the R.B One offers you an unmatched support in curves and unparalleled stability, because its rigidity is adaptive : - When you’re turning, the truck stiffens proportionally to your inclination, thanks to the springs. - As you accelerate, the truck stiffens due to the speed and this is thanks to a particular mechanical design.
This gives the road board a smooth ride at low speeds whereas it gives a firmer, stiffer steering at high speeds. 💡Also, it's mechanical design makes all wobbling sensations disappear. So let’s forget about them, it's old story now. 👋 On the R.B one, just as on a snowboard, the rear foot is the pivot point. By design, we have placed it directly on the suspension, for a more comfortable ride. Two levels of stiffness are available: - Soft : for a pleasant and comfortable ride 🧘 - Stiff : for a strong and aggressive ride 🥊 Our 9" tubeless tires have been designed especially for the R.B one, with their special curvature and reinforced thickness against puncture. With their excellent grip, they offer a smooth ride on rough roads while providing great stability at high speeds. Here is one of the most remarkable innovations of the R.B one : It is the first Personal Mobility Device in the world to use LiFePO4 technology for its batteries. Its advantages? Eco-responsible
To begin with, it is the healthiest battery on the market: no rare-earths or heavy metals are used, so no cobalt, manganese, cadmium or nickel, in order to move towards eco-responsible production. 4x more sustainable
Typical Li-Ion or Li-Po batteries can withstand 500 charging cycles, then decline dramatically in performance. Ours supports at least 2000... More than 5 years of use before the slightest performance decrease. What else to say. No explosion risk
These batteries have an inherently stable chemistry: they are physically incapable of burning or exploding. So that’s less worry about everyone’s safety. No memory effect
Finally, LiFePO4 naturally does not suffer from memory effects: a full charging cycle can be executed in one or several times, it won't make any difference. And we know that top-up charging is frequent in the life of the e-skater. So don't shy away from to top ups when you see an outlet, the battery won't be affected. Thanks to this absence of memory effect, the battery allows to charge its cells at high current, without any destructive side effects. This allows us to offer you two charging speeds: - 5 A charger: full charge in 2
- 10 A charger: full charge in 1 ⚠️ R.B one delivery : payment for delivery is the responsibility of the customer. For some countries, costs may differ, as for America. In this case, the costs of deliveries will be paid for when the package is sent. We will participate at delivery charges at a value of 60€.
