Rencontre internationale de scouts au Danemark

We are 9 pioneer caravels from Haut-Savoie who need your support to carry out our project. We want to go to Denmark this summer to make a Jamboree, it is a big gathering of scouts from all over the world. This collection will allow us to go to Denmark in July 2022 to live a big gathering of 40 000 scouts from all over the world, and to spend a week discovering Denmark. We will be enriched by international meetings and will take time to discover the culture of Denmark: visit of Copenhagen, day of cycling and swimming (maybe, for the bravest of us ahah) in the Baltic Sea before meeting all these scouts at the Hedeland Natural Park. We thank you very much for any support you can give us and we would be very grateful. Origin of the choice of this trip At the beginning of the year, we all got together to decide on our plans for the year. This year, we voted to go on an overseas jamboree. Such a project requires time and resources, but it is a once in a lifetime opportunity and as young people in the making, it was a project we wanted to experience together. Objectives on site : The main objectives of our stay in Denmark are: To meet Danish people in order to discover their culture To meet scouts from all over the world in Jamboree Participate and reflect on our commitment to the planet International meeting The main objective of this camp is to meet other Scouts and discover their culture and their scouting practice. We will be enriched first of all by the contact with the Danish scout unit with which we are twinned, and also by all our meetings at Jamboree. Indeed, there will be scouts from many countries: Sweden, Germany, Norway, Burundi, Taiwan, United States, Canada, Israel, Pakistan, Spain, Congo, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Netherlands, Cameroon, Niger, Trinidad and Tobago, Ghana or Italy! On the program: Discovery of scouting in the Danish way mainly but also French and Danish meals shared with our twinned Danish unit French and Danish games in the open air The Danish scouts will make us discover their way of living their summer camp; as well as the way they live scouting every day. Discovery of the scouting practices of the scouts of other countries, it will be very interesting and so enriching to share that! For us, it will be an opportunity to discover new cultures, to open our minds to the new and to break our barriers of prejudice. And not least, we all intend to improve our English! Commitment to the planet The second objective of our trip is to discover the natural spaces of Denmark, to understand their fragility. We will also try to go and see the windmills which are implanted on Sealand because it is a source of energy which does not produce any emissions. We will also make it our mission to clean up the areas where we will be passing: beach and forest walks. The place for waste is in the recycling centers, not in nature. This international meeting camp will be a unique opportunity to meet other scouts, to discover Denmark together and to break the silence. Thank you very much, or as they say in Denmark: Mange tak!
