revue bâtarde #4 — COMPROMIS

<p> <em><strong>Compromise</strong>: An action which involves reciprocal concessions. / Have recourse to arbitration. / Be in a situation that may become critical, be exposed to danger.</em></p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> The <strong>revue bâtarde</strong> is one of the projects of the Brussels collective <strong>indekeuken</strong>. This magazine testifies its bastardism: it is aperiodic, it groups together productions of any human discipline selected after a call for contributions, it practices a transversality between the selected themes and the selected proposals, and is by nature protean. In this sense, it is embodied in performative evenings, exhibitions and the edition of a printed magazine. The bastard magazine thus changes its content as you change your underwear.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <em> </em></p> <p> <img alt="3revuesbatardes-indekeuken_web-1489654314" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/403489/3RevuesBatardes-indekeuken_web-1489654314.jpg"><em> </em></p> <p>  </p> <p> The theme of the next issue will be <strong>COMPROMISE</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>— texts will be mostly in French —</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <em>Is it easier to be true to yourself by doing nothing? Is happiness the tree that hides the forest of compromises? Does neoliberal society inevitably compromise us as it puts us in a permanent state of danger? Does it constantly force us to more concessions – which we perceive as less and less mutual?</em></p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> The <strong>revue bâtarde</strong> has already 3 issues:<em> </em></p> <p>  </p> <p> 1. <a href="http://www.indekeuken.org/?revue-batarde-1-democratie" target="_blank">la démocratie</a>  : final object printed in 2012 in 150 copies in risography, in black and blue, binded by hand. Each applicant has been published, in consistency with its theme. It offers poetic texts, photographs, engravings, satirical texts, collages, web art, etc.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Lademocratie_revuebatarde-indekeuken2012-1489654386" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/403490/LaDemocratie_RevueBatarde-indekeuken2012-1489654386.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p> 2. <a href="http://www.indekeuken.org/?revue-batarde-2-Le-bonheur" target="_blank">le bonheur</a>  : an exhibition, several evenings of performances and a magazine printed in 2013 in 500 copies in offset, in black and white (inevitably, imagine happiness in color!), binded in square back pasted. After selection, "The happiness" offers drawings, collages, performances, perfume, prose, song, poetry, etc.</p> <p> <em> </em></p> <p> <img alt="Lebonheur_revuebatarde-indekeuken2014-1489654399" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/403491/LeBonheur_RevueBatarde-indekeuken2014-1489654399.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p> 3. <a href="http://www.indekeuken.org/?revue-batarde-3-le-cellule" target="_blank">la cellule</a>  : an exhibition, a performative dinner, psycho-magical performances and a magazine printed in 2016 in 300 copies in risography, in black, yellow, red, green, gold, binded with glue. It brings together novels, a genealogical tree, critical texts, web art, collage, photo, song, philosophy, illustration, paper cut, etc.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Lacellule_revuebatarde-indekeuken2016-1489654409" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/403492/LaCellule_RevueBatarde-indekeuken2016-1489654409.jpg"></p> <p> <em> </em></p> <p> <strong>AND IN 2017, SOME COMPROMISE!</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> <u>With:</u></p> <p>  </p> <p> AK, <a href="http://anaispsaila.com/" target="_blank">Anaïs Psaïla</a>, <a href="http://www.antoinegrimace.com/menu.html" target="_blank">Antoine Caramalli</a>, <a href="https://chezrosi.wordpress.com/2014/09/02/risobook-1-by-axel-claes/" target="_blank">Axel Claes</a>, Benoit Eugène, <a href="http://bernardvillers.be/" target="_blank">Bernard Villers</a>, <a href="http://cargocollective.com/billnoir" target="_blank">Bill Noir</a>, <a href="http://boriscrack.wixsite.com/boriscrack" target="_blank">Boris Crack</a>, Célestin de Meeûs, <a href="http://celine-marique.net/" target="_blank">Céline Marique</a>, <a href="http://www.anequibutine.com/catalogue/author/4-bruneel/" target="_blank">Christoph Bruneel</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/jeboisdescafesjemefaisavorter/" target="_blank">Clara Lalix</a>, <a href="http://clarathomine.com/" target="_blank">Clara Thomine</a>, <a href="https://www.clemenceelman.com/lueur-calais" target="_blank">Clémence Elman</a>, <a href="http://www.traverse.be/daniel-simon.php" target="_blank">Daniel Simon</a>, <a href="http://danielwagener.org/" target="_blank">Daniel Wagener</a>, <a href="http://galopin.info/home/lichic.php" target="_blank">Dr Lichic</a>, <a href="http://www.eliseberimont.net/" target="_blank">Élise Bérimont</a>, Elish, Éric Therer, <a href="https://vimeo.com/user27896654" target="_blank">Gaetan Saint Remy</a>, Gilles Boenisch, <a href="http://gillianferreira.ultra-book.com/" target="_blank">Gillian Ferreira</a>, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rSncjR-EDQ" target="_blank">Gioia Kayaga</a>, <a href="http://www.djamilimane.com/about.html" target="_blank">Imane Djamil</a>, <a href="http://johannaperret.blogspot.be/" target="_blank">Johanna Perret</a>, <a href="http://katiagosselin.com/" target="_blank">Katia Gosselin</a>, Kevin Jacquet, <a href="http://lamuseduciel.blogspot.be/" target="_blank">Khalid El Morabethi</a>, <a href="https://vimeo.com/user26051333" target="_blank">Laurence Langlois</a>, <a href="http://lucfierens.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Luc Fierens</a>, Manon Poncelet, <a href="http://europarkbuurt.blogspot.be/" target="_blank">Marc Schepers</a>, Marco Jacobs, Mathieu Bietlot, <a href="http://www.michelvautier.fr/ASSISE.gif?v=2f2w8ol2xg33fy" target="_blank">Michel Vautier</a>, <a href="http://www.murieldorembus.fr/" target="_blank">Muriel Dorembus</a>, <a href="http://www.murielvega.com/" target="_blank">Muriel Vega</a>, <a href="http://dezeehondfanzine.blogspot.be/" target="_blank">Nathalie Lefèvre</a>, Nico Dockx, <a href="https://soundcloud.com/nicolasankoudinoff" target="_blank">Nicolas Ankoudinoff</a>, <a href="http://ninonmazeaud.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Ninon Mazeaud</a>, <a href="http://www.lustre.be/" target="_blank">Olivier Spinewine</a>, Paul Hermant, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-y9XcLMDhYBSF__SpC_IlQ" target="_blank">Pierre Guéry</a>, Rébecca &amp; Fiona Brunet, Robin Pringels, <a href="http://www.chutiwongpeti.info/" target="_blank">Sarawut Chutiwongpeti</a>, <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serge_No%C3%ABl_(po%C3%A8te)" target="_blank">Serge Noël</a>, <a href="https://www.sophie-willison.com/mainpage" target="_blank">Sophie Willison</a>, <a href="http://www.stefanklein.org/" target="_blank">Stefan Klein</a>, Sylvain Hartemann et Juliette Jacquemin, <a href="https://vimeo.com/77603651" target="_blank">Tom Nisse</a>, Valeria Scricco, Xavier Serrano.</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <em><img alt="Yalta-indekeuken_compromis-1489760873" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/404004/Yalta-indekeuken_compromis-1489760873.gif"> </em></p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>We need you!</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> You can now bring the <strong>revue bâtarde</strong> to life. Take advantage of this opportunity to acquire an original while supporting a beautiful project.</p>

Allocation of funds

<p> <strong>2400€</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> The financing obtained by kisskissbankbank will be used primarily for the production of the paper format of the magazine: this will cover the costs of printing and binding.</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>600€</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> Will be used to cover a part of the transports of the artists that will occur during the evenings to come in april and during the Autumn (performance / poetry / song / dance).</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>220€</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> Will be used to support the broadcast of the magazine.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>8%</strong> will go to kisskissbankbank if the campaign is successful.</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>Au-delà de 3500€</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> We will be able to offer the soup to the graphic designers' team who always find the right way to translate each contribution into a coherent and BEAUTIFUL object (they deserve more than just soup). </p>
