EN : After dancing in Argentinean concert halls and learning the language in Buenos Aires in the music school of its creator, we decided to broadcast the story of this revolution through a web-series, filmed in the Argentinean capital at the heart of this musical phenomenon in February 2020. This language allows a group of harmonic instruments, percussion instruments or voices to be directed, like a conductor but without a score. Its strength is to demystify musical improvisation and democratise access to music. She then took classes in the school of the creator, Santiago Vazquez. It was she who introduced Julien to the phenomenon, and together they decided to document it. It was in Rome in November 2019 that Julien met Gonzalo, and that was the trigger: they decided to go to Argentina during the winter and film. Childhood friend and camerawoman Jeanne joined the project on a whim. In five weeks, between February and March 2020, they recorded a unique archive, just before the first quarantine of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the process, we’ve been building links within the international Rhythm with Signs community by producing articles, videos and podcasts.
