THIRTEEN PERCENT, Nikon Film Festival Short Film 2023
Thirteen Percent is a short drama-suspense film of 2 minutes 20, directed by Ana Rochiccioli, written by Emma Gillet de Thorey and Ana Rochiccioli, and produced by Antoine Rieu and Alphonse Morain, for the Nikon Film Festival 2023. Synopsis of the film Chloe is a Parisian student in a theater school. Confident and ambitious, her future is clear: she will become a great actress. One Sunday evening, back at her apartment, she notices that she has only 13% of her battery left. Chloe tries everything to charge her phone but nothing works, she is panic-stricken. During this intimate conversation with her Anxiety, as her battery decreases, she imagines the worst... -------------------- ---------------- ------------------ ----------------- --------------- --------------- WHO ARE WE? Ana Rochiccioli, director and co-writer of Treize Pour Cent: Hello everyone! My name is Ana Rochiccioli and I am in charge of writing the script with Emma and directing the short film. This project is very close to my heart because it is inspired by a story that happened to me personally and seemed to me interesting to treat in 2 minutes 20. So I'm really happy to have met people at the Sorbonne with whom I could bring this story to life. I hope you'll like it! Emma de Thorey is a co-writer: Hi, my name is Emma de Thorey and I'm a screenwriter with Ana on the project. I'm happy to be able to invest myself in this short film which is very close to my heart. Participating in the Nikon Film Festival, and thus putting all our energy into this ambitious project, is a great opportunity for me to learn more, especially in development. The story is current and our team is motivated to create a film that lives up to our expectations and work. I hope this short film will touch you, or at least speak to you. Antoine Rieu is the producer of the short film: Hi, I'm Antoine Rieu, I'm managing the production on this project. I'm an engineer by training and, during 2 years, I got closer to an industry I'm passionate about by becoming an assistant producer on about 20 projects. I arrived at La Sorbonne with an idea in mind: to take advantage of my free time to produce short films. Seeing the richness and complementarity of the talents of my class, I motivated a great team to produce a Nikon. Alphonse Morain is a producer on Treize Pour Cent: Hello, I'm Alphonse Morain and I'm a producer with Antoine on this short film. To allow this project to see the light of day and to support us in its realization, you can help us thanks to this kitty! It's a pleasure to participate in this Nikon Film Festival and we wish to gather the necessary means to produce a quality short film. A big thank you and see you soon! -------------------- ---------------- ------------------ ----------------- --------------- --------------- The characters of our Short Film Chloe, a student, really wants to succeed in life and become a great actress. She takes her studies and her projects to heart and puts all the chances on her side to seize every opportunity. Chloé is square, organized, sometimes even rigid and stressed. Anguish is the personified emotion of Chloe. It is the one that appears to contradict her when she reassures herself, it is the one that makes her feel guilty when she tries to find solutions. Anguish is selfish, unpleasant, full of itself.

Some counterparts may have different delivery dates. What will the funds be used for? Having all worked on different shoots, we refuse to make professionals work for free but we can't afford to pay them according to the work schedule. This project will come to life thanks to the generosity of all the members of the technical and artistic team, all of whom will accept a financial contribution. In addition, there are unavoidable expenses and here is the breakdown of the film's costs. Stage 1: 1800€ ❤️ The 100% goal ensures us the creation of the film and fitting right into our carefully calculated budget. The basic needs and minimum costs of the project will then be financed: the project is then feasible and the production will then be launched! Stage 2: 2200€ 💛 The 2200€ threshold will allow us to review our production line in order to invest more in more expensive material. It will then be possible for us to work with much more ambitious lighting, better camera quality and to financially thank the technicians a bit more generously. The film, in these conditions, will then reach the level of requirement wanted by the directors since the beginning in order to offer you the best possible experience technically. Stage 3: 2500€ 💚 This new level will also allow us to consider a more ambitious distribution in festivals by proposing the project to more competitions! 🎬 WE COUNT ON YOU!
