Some "outsider" views of the French....   "a friend used to work for a French company in the UK and was baffled that French office workers would go round every morning and shake hands with all their colleagues in the office. Every morning. Every single one. And it would take ages!!"   "• French being better dressed/ more stylish than Brits. • differences between food - French very snooty about British cuisine...but actually some British put off by very stinky cheeses or meats of French.  • markets - live animals at markets in France? Bit shocking for Brits. • attitude to language - French very proud, Brits don't really care.... • attitude to sex - French people seem much more laid back than we are."   "My very generalized experience of the basic French is that they are very accurate, organized, clean, interested in food in a kind of intimate way, they are thin, elegant, not very experimental, not extreme, slightly bureaucratic, are not so keen on conversations with nobodies and they like cognac."   "I´ve heard that people are different in Paris than in any other town in France, I've been told that they are a little bite rude and don't want to talk english. They want to look good- women in high heels, they love to spend time in cafés.." <div>  </div>
