The project:

Lake Folks is mainly a solo project that I have decided to develop with my guitar and my voice:

The mention of the "lake" in the name of my project refers to my home region of Aix-les-Bains in Savoie (France) where I was born and raised, and where I have learned to become a musician, notably through my previous band projects (C.O.D.E. and Cod'Acoustic).

After a few years spent abroad for my studies, I have started to compose by myself and to share those songs mostly informally.

The songs that are on this EP have mainly been composed during my stay in the Netherlands. Since then, I have had the chance to perform those in several gigs in The Hague, New York or Geneva and the feedback I had only convinced me that I had to record these songs on an EP!

Thus, now that I am back home in Savoie (France), I have decided to gather my musician friends in order to present to you this EP for the creation of which I propose you to participate!

Influences:

Lake Folks is a folk/pop/indie musical project with many influences such as Bon Iver, Kings of Convenience, Ben Howard, Villagers, Paul Simon, Ben Harper, Jeff Buckley, Sufjan Stevens etc.

State of the project:

The recording and mix are already finished. Therefore, I have good hopes that the EP should be released in July 2017. However, there are still a few steps to go through (and therefore some expenses, see below).

Since this is a solo project, I am alone in bearing the costs of this EP. This is why I decided to ask you to contribute in order to help me making this project as good as possible!
