We live in Guanacaste for 5 years, the dryest area of Costa Rica.

To give you an idea, there is no one drop of rain for 6 months out of a year and neither the "wete" season is that rainy, expect from 2 months. The Village of Playa Avellana where we live is not hooked up to city water, we use a well all year round to get water, which is common in coastal villages in Costa Rica.

We do respect a lot the water and always use it smartly.

The landscape here looks like a western with yellow grass and burnt nature except from trees which have roots long enough to get water, until the first rains come and turns everything green for a few months. Here follows an exemple :

We are French hotel & restaurant managers, in love with travels, nature, human relationships, that's the reason why we like it here so much because it has it all!

Hospitality fills our hearts and we love to greet and hosts travelers from all over the world, guide them and share good moments. After many years of managing other people's businesses with success, we finally make our dream come true : Create our own eco-friendly guest house in this paradise.

The construction will begin mid-November with an eco-friendly builder (Frame Projects http://www.frame.cr/), and we would like to take all the chances to make this eco-friendly guest house a comfy halt for travelers with as much respect to nature as possible.

We have been staying in various eco-lodges and realized the ecological part sometimes can damage the comfort but comfort is so important...The ecological installation which allow comfort are more expensive, this is why we try the crowfunding to have a good recycling water process.

For now we can finance one cottage with the outdoor community kitchen, and the main house where meals will be hosted as well as a smaller guest room for volunteers and travelers on budget. We allow ourselves by the way to really thank our families and friends who believe in our project and help us to finance it.

The final project counts with 4 cottages, each one can be hosting 4 guests, little by little, the bird will build his nest! Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in investing in a cottage.

Le lay out of spaces will be mainly made by local artisans, using local products and recycled material. The daily respect of nature is before anything else, a state of mind !

Here, animals live in peace & freedom, people respect them as much as flowers & nature, we live along with the surrounding nature!

The lot is ideally located, a few steps from the pristine beach of Avellanas, the soil is great to make a beautiful tropical garden, the industrial well allows us to have enough water all year round to live.

We bought the land to our cheese providers, the nicest locals ever and the building is made by French friends who has be here long enough to build quality, green, fast & smart!
