A musical journey that blends sounds from the Eastern Europe to the electro / pop

The project ANKA was created in 2012 by Anna Korbinska an artist of Polish origin. Anka wants to emphasize through this project, her compositions inspired by the Polish folklore, but also its influences from electro, jazz and contemporary music.

Anka: the motley meeting of 4 artists.

Anka is partnering with three young French musicians. Bassist Valentin Couineau works with Anka on producing the pieces, joined by the accordionist Derache Laurent and the percussionist Victor Hanna. The result is an electro / pop decorated with vibrant Slavic tones.

How do we met and why recordnig now:

The group is assisted by the Centre Barbara Fleury Goutte d'Or from the early 2014. Anka was invited to participate in the recording of the TV show 'La' for the Brazilian Globo TV, led by Orlando Morais and Rivière Noire band in Studio Ferber in Paris. That's where she meets Jean Lamoot, a music producer known for his collaboration with artists such as Alain Bashung, Jean-Louis Aubert, Salif Keita, Brigitte Fontaine, Noir Désir, Blick Bassy Sara Tavares. Jean seduced by the music of Anka agrees to coproduce their first EP in 2015.
