Clips Conscience / Grandir

<p><em>For the release of my<strong> first EP</strong>, we are preparing the shooting of several clips that will transcribe my universe in pictures.</em></p> <h2><strong>Creators and the origins of the project</strong></h2> <p>After studying cinema and theatre, I started working as an actor on various projects (<em>SKAM France, Lavande, Mauvais Genre...</em>). In parallel, I have been writing and making music for several years, and I started posting my first compositions and covers on the networks two years ago.<br /> <img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/673150/pp_sohan_kisskiss-1593543243.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <p>I started working on this EP almost a year ago, alone in my apartment. I recorded a few demos, then I met the composer Jonathan Galby with whom I collaborated on these 5 tracks. We worked several months as freelancers to record the EP in the best possible conditions. Very quickly I wanted to make clips on some of my songs, especially &quot;Dorian&quot;, which I self-produced and which will be my first video clip shot in early July.</p> <hr /> <p><strong>Patxi Arsa</strong> (<a href="http://www.instagram.com/patxiarsa/" target="_blank">@patxiarsa</a>) is a director and photographer with whom I have been working for a year. These are personal texts, but in which I hope everyone will hear a piece of their story.</p> <p>They are a diptych, they complete each other. One in a rather dark universe, the second proposing another vision, towards a brighter path.</p> <hr /> <h2><strong>Clips presentation :</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Clip 1 -</strong> <em>Conscience</em></h3> <p>&quot;<em>Conscience</em>&nbsp;explores the inability to break our chains.</p> <p>It is a sequence-shot, imagined as a painting, whose content is gradually discovered. In this painting, insomnia materializes in the form of a mattress on which Sohan is trapped, alone, on a beach.</p> <p>The sequence-shot makes it possible to represent Sohan&#39;s psychological state in real time.</p> <p>Playing with the frame allows the viewer to gradually reveal the setting and the story of the character. In this unique sequence we move from the close-up isolating Sohan&#39;s face to a larger landscape, representing his mental environment, conducive to introspection. The shooting is already set for the end of July.&quot;</p> <p style="text-align:right"><em>Moodboard / Inspiration</em></p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/673254/moodboard_1-1593545821-1593586704.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <hr /> <h3><strong>Clip 2 -&nbsp;</strong><em>Grandir</em></h3> <p>&quot;<em>Grandir </em>is thought as the continuation of <em>Conscience</em>, in a world where, in opposition to the first one, chains are broken, loneliness and inability to act are no longer at the centre.</p> <p>It&#39;s a nocturnal wandering, accompanying Sohan until the early hours of the morning.
