What is EMOCEAN, you ask?

THE FILM: EMOCEAN is the debut experimental sci-fi music film by Berlin based band Fenster. Written, directed, edited, co-produced, starring and co-shot by the band (with some help from an amazing team of course) and accompanied by a full motion picture soundtrack by the band.

The film starts out as a documentary about the band struggling to finish their third record when they accidentally get transported into an alternate dimension. In this surreal and disorienting landscape, nothing is what it seems. The band is forced to confront their paradoxical surroundings and somehow make sense of the absurd in order to find their way back to the reality they have come to think of as "real". But what is real?

THE ALBUM:

EMOCEAN was originally conceived as a conceptual soundtrack before the film’s actual production and evolved into the most ambitious project the band has ever ventured to try. It will be officially released on Morr Music on September 4th, 2015.

Fenster is a psychedelic pop band based in Berlin Germany. From left to right: Will Samson (UK), Jonathan Jarzyna (GER/PL), JJ Weihl (USA) and Lucas Ufo (FR). They have released two albums on Morr music, Bones (2012) and The Pink Caves (2014) and toured all over the US, in the UK and in over 15 countries around Europe.

Once the project is finished WITH YOUR HELP, the band intends to tour with the film and play the soundtrack live, transforming the experience of classic silent cinema into a fantastical “cine-tour” journey headed for the unknown.
