The day after this year’s biggest party yet – that everybody seems to have mysteriously forgotten – this little town’s high-school is taken over by zombies. In this building, people try their best to fight their way out and change their destiny… What they don’t know is: it lies in <i>your</i> hands.</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Titres-concept-1462629927" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/313107/Titres-concept-1462629927.png"></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>#Falltown</strong> is a sci-fi as well as a comedic web-series that follows a group of high-school students trying to survive a zombie attack but, more importantly, trying to survive each other…  They’re trapped in the middle of a giant chessboard controlled by the viewers themselves.</p> <p> This interactive comedy offers the viewers a whole new level of involvement: they can vote for the character they want to save at the end of each episode. The character who gets the least amount of votes will simply get eaten alive – and that’s the best outcome – in the next episode.</p> <p>  </p> <p> To help the viewers make this terrible choice, <strong>#Falltown</strong> will provide a website that will regroup the episodes and detailed character files. These files, as well as flashbacks from the mysterious party at the beginning of each episode, will allow the viewers to know a little bit more about all of the characters and to perhaps find out what caused the epidemic…</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Titres-projet-1462629959" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/313109/Titres-projet-1462629959.png"></p> <p>  </p> <p> The idea to create <strong>#Falltown</strong> was born two years ago. Although we considered many different ways to do this, we decided to stick to the web-series format after realising that with the success of legal – and illegal – downloading online, people probably don’t mind watching their episodes on a little screen as long as the quality of the content they’re offered does not disappoint. Why zombies? Because a little bit of entertainment never killed anybody, and because these dopey creatures can easily be used for comedy. Quality being our first concern, we started thinking that it might cost us a kidney and a half so, instead of going on holidays, we decided to save our money and just get on with it. On the 25th of April this year, after two – intense – months of pre-production spent negotiating the cost of every little detail, we started filming. Add to that being stuck with someone who’s your complete opposite, and you get… Well… Even fewer fun times.</p> <p> The cheerleader, the drug dealer and the principal. The goth girl and the jock. The nerds and the class clown. They work together for an association that helps young people go from a classic academic career to several kinds of digital-related jobs. They’re good people. Emilie is an artistic director, Quentin is a film maker and director, and Mélanie is an assistant producer. They were made for each other. Their shared love for beautiful shots as well as good one-liners and puns convinced them to leave everything behind, become their own bosses and start living their dream. With Emilie by their side, nothing can stop them, and #Falltown can finally come to life.
