Forever Children (Music Short Film)
Before describing the new project we would like to share with you the first video we produced and directed - "Beyond". "Beyond” is a debut Mbl’s project - a music video film featuring a group of young deaf people expressing themselves through dance using music vibrations. This project was 100% volunteer, all necessary production expenses (transportation, food, entertainment, costumes, etc.) were at our expense. FOREVER CHILDREN Preface Freedom Everyone has their own freedom, For some it will be the Saturday night summer parties. For others it is books, but For me it is nature, My true freedom is to lie down, To lie down in a meadow with a thousand and one secrets. I lie down in this meadow and suddenly, I feel transported! I fly with the clouds, And revolt with the birds, Then I wake up, in a dress, An immaculate white dress that I had never seen, Before. Hair, curly hair, free without any impediment, I envy you, and everyone has his own freedom, Everyone has his own freedom and this freedom comes from the heart. (c) Lila Charai, 10 years old Synopsis Sophia is a 10 year old girl who lives in a house with her parents. The parents are going through a complicated time in their relationship, they are constantly fighting, they hardly speak to each other, each one is doing his own life, both are unhappy. The father spends his time in front of the TV and playstation, jaded and unmotivated by life. The mother tries to manage the family as best she can, but often falls into depression and cries in a corner of the house. There, she smokes cigarette after cigarette and drinks to calm herself down. Sophia is left to her own devices, as she does not receive much attention from her parents. As a result, she grows up alone, she has fun alone, she is very mature and independent for her age, but already a little sad inside. The film aims to show what the child goes through psychologically when growing up in negative environments, seeing her parents unhappy and imprinting this image of them in her head forever. The message is simple and profound at the same time: as adults, we carry our childhood past with us, and our "inner child" often suffers from it.
The project is purely artistic and not for profit. The financial support will help us to pay the expenses of shooting (one day): - Equipment rental (camera, light, lenses, etc.) - Food during the shooting for a team of 12 people - Transportation costs for the team (including a van to transport the equipment) - Rental of the shooting location - Make-up costs - Costumes
