Last Year

Last year at this time, I was in the hospital with my son who was undergoing his fifth surgery (removing a kidney), and I had just one chemotherapy session left. If you told me last year, that I would be sitting at my desk a year later with so many things to be thankful for - I would have never believed it.

My Blog

Writing on my blog has given me so many opportunities and been a stepping stone that has nurtured so many new friendships that I constantly wonder why I never pursued it sooner. Having said that, I started blogging when I was pregnant with my son, but I wasn't so enthusiastic to share once I found out there was a problem with the pregnancy.

Today, things are very different and writing has given me a new freedom and has often been therapeutic. When I poured out my heart during that difficult year, the support we received was something I never expected.

I continue to confirm that there is always sunshine after the rain.

Over the months, I continued to write about the joys and experiences of parenthood and since I am in love with everything design - I focus on design-led baby items and hip and trendy fashion and gear for little ones and parents. My goal is to make parenthood and childhood modern and stylish in all aspects and I have had continuous support from all over the world.

Good Things Happen

When I learned about Playtime Paris - I was nothing short of elated. And when they accepted me as a media partner? Let's just say, I'm still trying to recover from the excitement.

My Priority

My son needs more sugeries (a bladder reconstruction and an eventual kidney transplant). These surgeries are not done locally and we need to travel to London. We are told that his recovery time for the upcoming surgery is 6 weeks and recovery after the transplant is 6 months. So it is no surprise that all of our savings are going towards the needs for these trips, first and foremost.

My Goal

I would love so much if I could attend and cover the fair for my blog's readers, create new relationships, and further grow my creativity and development of my brand - it would make me as happy as a bird with a french fry.
