Vendredi 29 septembre à 20h30 aura lieu la première du spectacle musical L'univers de Julia au théâtre La Ruche à Nantes. Cela va faire 11 mois que l'idée a germé dans la tête de Vincent Thévenot, notre metteur en scène d'adapter mes 3 romans en un spectacle musical et nous avons travaillé super fort à la représentation que vous allez enfin pouvoir voir dans moins d'une semaine. Quel mois d’avril ! Il s’est terminé en apothéose par le tournage des clips de L'univers de Julia. 15 comédiens, 20 personnes en tout avec l’équipe technique et quelle équipe ! 9 clips tournés en 4 jours et demi ! Ce fut une expérience comme on en vit peu dans sa vie ;). Et maintenant la partie montage revient à Elian Robert l’un des deux réalisateurs et il va à une vitesse folle pour que tous les clips soient prêts pour notre résidence à Nantes. Nous sommes tous hyper excités et aussi un peu flippés car la première représentation de l’univers de Julia arrive très vite ! Plus exactement le 16 mai à 19h. Ce sera encore un work in progress à ce stade, mais ça vous permettra si vous êtes à Nantes de vous rendre compte de tout le travail accompli. Ou plutôt l’inverse, si on a bien fait notre travail, vous vivrez la magie de l’Univers de Julia. On vous attend donc de pied ferme et vos retours aussi après le spectacle pour que nous puissions améliorer encore le show. On a hâte de vous retrouver sur les planches ! Mardi soir, je vais remonter sur scène pour vous présenter mon tout nouveau projet : l'Univers de Julia. J'ai écrit des chansons basées sur mes 3 livres : La Malédiction de l'amour de vacances, Enceinte à tout prix ! et Carte Blanche. Et c'est une partie de ces chansons que vous allez pouvoir découvrir en exclusivité lors de la soirée Madi Square Garden à Paris. Hâte de vous y retrouver ! J'espère que tu vas bien ! Février promet d'être un mois super intense sur tous les plans ! Déjà fin janvier j'ai fait des interviews pour Radio Ker News (44), le journal La Baule +, le journal l'Echo de la Presqu'île qui paraissent ce mois-ci. Ma première dédicace en librairie en janvier s'est super bien passée et mon premier concert de février dans le 95 aussi. Et justement c'est reparti pour un concert suivi d'une dédicace à La Baule le dimanche 13 février pour fêter un peu en avance la Saint Valentin. Sans compter une interview en direct le 9 février sur Radio RGB avant d'aller à Francs et près de Toulouse avant de retourner dans le 44 faire tout un tas de concerts. Bonjour toi ! Une très belle année 2022 ! Qu'elle t'apporte ce que tu désires au plus profond de toi, mais aussi la joie et la paix. Artistiquement la fin 2021 a marqué un renouveau avec la sortie de l'album OUT! et de mon 3e livre Carte blanche. 2022 sera sous le signe de la rencontre ! Ma première dédicace en librairie aura lieu ce samedi 15 janvier 2022 à la librairie À Livr'Ouvert 171 bis, Bd Voltaire Paris 11e au M° Charonne et j'espère pouvoir t'y voir ! Elle sera précédée à 15h30 d'une interview d'une heure sur à la fois mes livres mais aussi ma carrière musicale. 📷 Les concerts se poursuivent. Le dernier concert à la maison à La Baule était vraiment un super moment. J'ai joué des morceaux d'un peu tous mes albums. J'ai eu des super retours. Merci à toutes celles et ceux qui sont venus. Salut mes kisskissbankers, ça va ? C'était déjà en 2016 que vous m'avez soutenu et aidé à sortir mon 3e album et je ne vous en remercierai jamais assez. D'habitude je sors un album tous les 4 ans mais contexte sanitaire oblige, j'étais perplexe sur quand le sortir. Et puis, j'ai décidé de tout sortir en même temps ce mois de novembre ! OUT! mon 4e album soul-pop sort ce vendredi 19 novembre sur toutes les plateformes digitales (pas d'album physique cette fois-ci), ainsi que le clip Just choose que voici en avant-première pour vous. Je suis très émue et fière de te présenter mon petit dernier : un être de quelques grammes fait d'encre et de papier qui aura eu une gestation d’au moins 6 ans avant de venir au monde (et oui !). The last 2 weeks we were back in the studio where we spent the whole month of June arranging the songs before the recording at studio Audiolane at the beginning of July. Lucas Thiéfaine (picture above) finished yesterday evening mixing the 10 tracks...   What is mixing? But what is mixing and why does it take so much time? We have recorded 10 songs in the studio and done multiple takes of each song. So first, there's the editing phase. For each instrument the best take is being picked up. It takes a lot of time cos each take must be relistened to then edited. Then comes the real mixing part : each of the instruments must be balanced so that each is distinct. Lucas adds effects, corrects the defaults and gives a sound unity to the whole...   Voice edits Until last Wednesday Lucas was working on the instrumental parts. But then he tackled the vocals making sure that the pronunciation, the intention and the pitch were right. We have even added backing vocals on "When my girl is in love with the wrong man"... Now we are leaving it for 3 weeks to relisten to it with fresh ears and make sure everything's right... Then mastering and then manufacturing... A little bit of patience still...   Thanks so much for making this project possible !   The 100% challenge! I didn't forget it after the crowdfunding but it took quite some time to put together. Hello to all my fantastic Kissbankers!!!   THANK YOUIIIIII!!!!! The suspense carried on until the end but you all allowed this project to come true!!!! You have no idea how grateful I am for your unconditonnal support in this project!  Without you this album could not be a reality today... If the amount of 15.000€ is reached, then the album gets made thanks to you all. If not, everybody recuperates what they invested and the album doesn't get made. If we don't reach 100% it will mean we will have spent a whole month rearranging the songs with Fred Scamps for nothing. And that is unthinkable for us. The more visibility there is on the project, the more chances it has to reach its goal!   Yesterday was a magical day, simply because it was full of music and dance. We went busking with Nirek Mokar at Mabillon and I could sing, play the bass, dance (Thank you Ingrid and Sylvain my 2 great Kissbankers) and even play the piano when Nirek wanted to make a pause ;). Most of all, I hope I could bring a little bit of joy and emotion to the passers-by, cos it's the main reason why I do music: give joy and emotions and make people want to dance!   In the evening, I went celebrating the birthday of Jean-Jacques, my 2nd teacher of rock'n'roll. Nirek was there performing with his band and he invited me to do 2 songs on stage: it was great to be able to perform for you and to make you sing and dance!   I was talking to one of my Kissbankers, José, just before. The rhythm of the song was very fast and I said: "Only you can dance on it". He was ehausted but still accepted the dance. In the middle of the song I said: "You see, even tired, you manage to dance!" and he answered: "It's the music! Yesterday for the fête de la musique, I was in the studio with Fred Scamps, the talentuous arranger of the future 3rd album to finish the arrangement of the 8th song of my future rock'n'roll album! We have now finished the pre-production work for the 10 tracks with Frédéric and now he needs to do more edits so that he can send it to the musicians and we can rehearse before hitting the recording studio from July 5th to 7th, 2016. Hello my great kissbankers!   I just wanted to wish a beautiful "fête de la musique" to you all! I just celebrated it spending my day in the studio with Fred Scamps, the arranger of the album. I'm editing the video right now so that you can see it tomorrow!   I also went playing along with 23 other pianists at la Villette for the manifestation "Play me I'm yours". We had to improvise on the same theme. Hello my great kissbankers!!!   With a little bit of delay again (not easy to edit, do a last rehearsal for the concert of today and export the video on youtube on the same day it was shot), here's the video of the 7th  : The best dancer in town...   In my musical project, Pierre, the main character sees for the first time Rose (the second main character) dance and realises she's the best dancer he's ever seen... For now I'm singing it instead of a man, but in the musical it will be "Pierre" singing it! Hi my awesome kissbankers ! Thanks to you the project is already at 20%...! I really thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution ! The more people are aware of the project, the more chances it has to become a success! ;) There are only 27 days left and every day counts to reach the objective...   Since Monday I'm in Fred Scamps' studio doing the pre-production of the album. Fred is rearranging the songs with all the instruments that will be on the album and does demos that are much more advanced and clean than mines and should be our basis to record in July. We really believe that we will make it and that the album will become a reality, that's why we're making everything ready for it in advance!   Meanwhile, here's the 5th excerpt of my future 5th album, still recorded based on my demo versions, Kacke, that roughly means  "It sucks". I was looking for a simple and funny subject in German (because the language of Goethe is not the simplest to write a song) and I found this expression that Germans use all the time.   I wrote down all the ideas that came accross my mind and did a song that goes a liitle bit in all directions, but that makes me laugh.
