LaCase de la femme
Hello everyone, We are two young women of Congolese origin, one living in France and the other in Kinshasa. We have set ourselves the goal of opening the first zero-waste shop for intimate hygiene in Kinshasa (Congo DRC) in order to offer healthy, ecological products that respect the environment and, above all, women's privacy. We have already taken the first step of launching our online shop and we have started to market washable sanitary towels, intimate soaps and soap bags in Kinshasa. We will use the profits from the shop to continue to build up our stock and ensure that the project is not short-lived as we are convinced that our products can make a difference. Our project is launched despite a very timid beginning but it is starting to take off little by little. We want to go further and offer an intimate setting where our future customers can come and discover the products and have more explanations on their benefits and others. Many women in the Congo do not know these products and need to talk about them before using them, which is normal when you discover something. We also want to offer them a place where young and old alike can come and ask questions about menstruation, as this can still be a taboo subject in some families. We are also going to promote artisanal products such as soaps, shampoos and scrubs made in Africa and more particularly in the Congo in order to highlight the local artisans and their work which is often not known by the locals. Our soaps are available on our website www.la-case.net. The products that we will propose: * Washable sanitary towels * Menstrual panties * Washable nappies * Intimate Soaps * Handmade soaps * Organic Makala (charcoal made from waste) ongoing project We want to raise awareness among the female population to start with zero waste products and allow them to contribute to the scourge of waste that is rampant in Kinshasa. We need your help because at the moment we don't have enough money to rent a place to sell our products. Having a point of sale is essential because at the moment customers have to call and go to pick up the products from Thérèse, my collaborator, and we are obliged to go through them, so a large part of the population does not yet know our products. Your contribution will also allow us to finance the training of 3 young people who are being trained to develop organic charcoal made from food waste and other materials (paper, shower potato skin, clay, white sand, reindeer, eggshells). They have succeeded in burning this ember for 37 minutes without emitting smoke. Their project is in agreement with ours and we wish to join them and market this product as well. It should be noted that more than 70% of households in the DRc still use charcoal for cooking, which is a disaster in terms of the trees that continue to be cut down to meet this need. We hope that our project will find favour in your eyes and thank you in advance for your support. PS: Our products are marketed at a low price to allow as many people as possible to have access to them. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
