LAURA FICHERA- Robes de mariée, robes de jour et accessoires fabriqués à la main

Laura Fichera in a few words I founded my studio, Laura Fichera, in 2020. I am an Italian designer and embroiderer who moved to Paris to continue her studies and learn the art of Lunéville embroidery at the École Lesage. After a number of experiences in haute couture houses and embroidery workshops, I decided to embark on a new adventure, starting to create hand-made accessories (for brides and non-brides alike) and wedding, formal and everyday clothing tailor-made, all made and embroidered by hand. At just 24 years old and in the midst of a pandemic, I opened the virtual doors to my studio, where handmade accessories, elaborate embroidery and elegant dresses are made with the care and dedication that goes into every item sold under my brand. The name Laura Fichera hides an old soul, a lover of beauty, craftsmanship, handmade products and, above all, uniqueness. In fact, uniqueness is one of the key words that characterise the products created in my workshop. This is also possible thanks to the alterations service, which allows you to revive or alter a garment in your wardrobe that needs an extra touch. This project reflects a vocation I've felt since I was a child, when, thanks to my family's carpentry business, I learned the beauty of creation and hand-crafted details, nurturing in me a strong need to express my creativity through the visual arts, drawing and sewing.

Allocation of funds

Why this campaign? The creation of my studio, the launch of the collection, the advertising and the first few years of work required a significant financial investment, which I have so far financed entirely from my own funds. I've tried to create my world on my own, without taking out bank loans or seeking funding from potential investors. As many people know, in the early years of an activity, you incur a lot of costs, while being aware that you're just starting out and that you don't have many customers waiting to make themselves known. The aim of this crowdfunding initiative is therefore to contribute to the growth of my workshop, by enabling me to take part in my first wedding fair, to buy the exhibition material needed to attend, to fund the advertising that will help the brand to grow and reach more people, and to buy an embroidery machine to put this technique into practice and create even more spectacular embroidery. Find out more... Thanks to my commitment to quality, eco-sustainability, romantic and elegant style, and the creation of unique and elaborate embroideries, I am gradually establishing myself as a sewing studio for brides and for anyone who wants to wear a unique, made-to-measure garment or accessory, with attention to detail and finish. More about Laura Fichera... The Laura Fichera brand is a reflection of my career as a fashion designer: the love of the countryside from my childhood, the Milanese style from my university days, the Parisian style from my self-discovery and the little fragments I picked up on my many trips to Asia and Africa. This brand is much more than just a tailoring workshop, it's a place where customers' dreams come true. I'll take your dreams, your ideas and your stories and blend them together to create a unique garment for you that speaks for you. Together we'll design what you want, choose the perfect fabric for you and, if you like, I'll design an embroidery that captures your essence and, in my studio, bring the dress to life. If what you want is an accessory, then all you have to do is choose from the wide selection you can find on my website. For each accessory, you can choose the colour and size. Do you have something unique and special in mind that just speaks about you? Then contact me and together we'll create a handmade accessory that reflects you and is perfect for your wardrobe! What if you have a garment or accessory that no longer reflects you, or that is unfortunately very old or damaged? You can send it to me and, after a meeting where we'll discuss the project, I'll create a new garment or accessory that fully reflects your personality. The brand's values A name that evokes craftsmanship and highlights the uniqueness and importance of handmade products, which contain a history and indispensable, irreplaceable know-how. Elegance is present in every shape, every embroidery, every fabric and every design that leaves my workshop. One of the values that is closest to my heart is handmade. Everything in the workshop is created by me, from the ideas for a product or a dress to the finished garment. Every product I buy is created on the spot in my workshop, to avoid stockpiling unsold pieces that would accumulate with the tonnes produced by the fashion industry every day. Uniqueness is another value to which I attach great importance. My desire and focus is that every product that leaves the workshop has been designed uniquely for you by me, giving us the opportunity to show off your uniqueness and style, creating an exclusive and eye-catching look! Personalisation is very important to me. Each product can be personalised through the fabrics, embroidery and sometimes the shape. Quality raw materials are very important to my workshop. Raw materials are carefully chosen and must have a number of qualities in order to be selected and incorporated into my projects. 85% of the materials I use are 100% natural and are chosen with respect for the environment and ecology in mind. Many of them are carefully selected from waste materials created and never used by the fashion industry during production for seasonal fashion shows. For this reason, from time to time, I am obliged to modify the accessories created for my collection by choosing similar but available materials. Embroidery: If you'd like to personalise a garment or accessory, or create a product embroidered using the Lunéville or needlework techniques, you can contact me and together, starting with the idea, then the design and the choice of material, I'll create a unique and precious embroidery, perfect for your needs. The team The team (for the time being) consists exclusively of me, Laura Fichera. At the moment, I'm in charge of everything at the studio: customer contact, the website, the various social media channels, project and product development. I'm the pattern maker, the embroiderer, the seamstress and the person who dispatches or delivers the products. In the future, I'd like to be able to include, little by little, someone to help me manage the social and communication side of things, a pattern maker and, when the workshop is really up and running, someone to help me create orders. But for all that, I'll have to wait for the brand to make a name for itself. Until then, I'll be alone behind my brand. The project behind the products created by crowfounding For this occasion, I thought I'd offer something different from what you can find on my site. As I imagine that the wedding theme can be very strict in this case, I thought of offering accessories for everyday use but with the same taste, care and idea that you can find in the rest of the products on offer. For this project, I chose to use the many scraps I've produced over the years and turn them into a patchwork fabric, staying close to my values and creating something out of leftovers. What, for many people, would be disposable items, became the basis of production for this project. That's why the accessories may not be 100% identical to the photographs. The position of the patchwork or a certain fabric may vary (in this case you will be notified immediately), but in the knowledge that it will be replaced by the scrap fabric most similar to what you see in the photo. Find out here what it will be like: If I had to imagine the future of my workshop in five years' time, I'd see it made up of made-to-measure creations, work and smiles. I imagine the creation of a real team, made up of women, working together in a united and dynamic way for the strength of the brand. I imagine creating beautiful wedding dresses and more, designing and creating clothes and accessories that women feel good in. I imagine a creative environment in which to experiment and effective advertising aimed at future customers, but especially at loyal customers who have become attached to the brand thanks to their past experience. I imagine a romantic, elegant place, with a touch of couture, where magic can happen. How will I spend the money?
