Hello everyone!

I am Licia Chery, I'm from Geneva, Switzerland, originally from Haïti and I compose, write and perform Retro Soul songs. Retro because I love to travel back in time (yes, it's possible!) and Soul because a type of music that can speak to the Soul, speaks to me!!!

I'm a single mom, I'm a working mom and I follow my dreams at the same time. I want to show my son that there's always a way to follow your dreams!

When we think about Switzerland, Soul Music is not the first thing that comes in mind... I'd like to change that :)

I'm working on my new album to be released in January 2020, I need 12'000€ to finish it, and as crowdfunding has always been my thing, I'm trying again with you :D!

I've financed the first part myself, and now, I need help for the rest.

What's your journey?

Basically, I am buckling the buckle :) About 10 years ago, I got on a crowdfunding website and BOOM! 100'000€ in 75 days! What a journey! 987 strangers believed in me... It was unbelievable!

Like the video below will show you, it opened a lot of doors! I went on the road to meet you, and we shared many magic moments!!!

Some chronology?

In 2012, I released my first album Blue Your Mind, a Soul Folk journey, thanks to 987 people through a crowdfunding website! It was released under the label My Major Company.

In 2015, I released my second album Inspiration , a Soul Rock journey, and even though I was able to tour with this album, I didn't find a record label to release it officially :(

I also started to perform in a play about Edith Piaf, it was supposed to last for 2 evenings, but it's been going on for 4 years!!! Maybe because of my amazing rendition of La Vie en Rose? (hhhey, it's okay to brag sometimes right?)hehe

In 2015, I found an indie record label who believed in me, and we started working on this project.

In 2017, I realized that life decides, not me. I released the Retro Soul single Treat Me Good, then my body started to create a little human being... I had to put music on pause :)

In 2019, my EP "Persistence" will be released on May 3rd!

I wanna make you travel through time...

You will find Soul Music from the 40s, 60s, 70s,80s and we'll soulfully dive into modern days... You will be able to navigate between old and new school... the journey will be worth the wait :)
