Lilurarik Ez le nouvel album de ACT

ACT is a musical project imagined and set up in the year 2000 by K (Kristian Aduriz) who shakes up his machines to create a sound cocktail travelling through different universe such as trip-hop, rock, noise, industrial and experimental music.

He has released his first two albums between 2001 and 2003. His self-produced debut LP "Revenge Toy" (CD-R Format), quickly followed by "XL" which was co-produced by the Amanitarecords label.

After some solo concerts, Headphones Festival (Anglet), Bonberenea (Tolosa), MEM04 (Bilbao), he ganged up with Ñaño (Kide, Don't Save The Queen), a gifted guitar player, who joined him at the occasion of new shows given at the Mogambo (San Sebastian), Belagilea (Ordiarp),and the Sonart in Bordeaux.

ACT Live at the Mogambo In San Sebastian:

We actually started shaping "Lilurarik Ez", our new album, in 2006, to finally give him birth at the beginning of September 2014. In order to achieve this long journey, K's desire was to invite musicians and singers into his universe, which lead to many featuring by different artists, coming with their own worlds and influences, such as MZ Sunday Luv, Nej, Arnaud Fournier (Hint, La Phaze, Dead Hippies), StAY (Call Me Loreta, My Imaginari Loves), Clytem Scannig, StPieRR, Christophe Pinaquy, and Rico Alvarez, who brought all their flavors to those collaborations. The result being compiled in a 15 tracks trip-rock fragranced LP, mixed and mastered by K himself, and officially digitally released in September of 2014, that you'll be able to discover partially, live on stage, during our first gathering of the year 2015, at the Atabal in Biarritz on the 2nd of April.

"Moving Around" feat. This project being borned in 2000, on the Bask Land, in the hands of, he sound engineer and C.A.M. trainer, Kristian Aduriz, who never ceases to experiment vast sonic horizons, based in his home-studio changed into a musical lab: creating rhythmic bases, inventing virtual instruments by playing the guitar or his electric bass, made by a string instrument maker friend of his, with a bow, juxtaposing synth layers or unconditionally loving drone effects… Without forgetting to tag along passionate musician as he is, throughout the years and encounters, as well as noticing and following talented songwriters-players and their twisted and moving universe, to finally deliver quite an amount of collaborations "Lilurarik Ez". Starting with "Moving Around", one of the leading piece of the album: torned between the tortured sax complaint (by Arnaud Forunier, half of the "Hint" duet) and the swing of a sensual bassline, where the voice and the incredible presence of MZ Sunday Luv naturally impose themselves… She's at her ease in both spoken-words and singing register, like the tormented and diabolic diva we guess behind the lyrics she spreads on the track "M Part 2" for example: "I must be a monster"…"

The concert

A little bit after the numeric release of "Lilurarik Ez", François Maton (The Atabal's concert organizer) proposed us to perform a show in an opening act for a "Hint" concert on Thursday, the 2nd of April 2015, and we've accepted the challenge! Gathering an alternative nightmare-team, made of K (guitar, synths, electric cora and machines), Ñaño (guitar and keyboards), Papillon (bass guitar), and Pierre (drums)… Four singers featuring on the album will join the band on stage, Nej, MZ Sunday Luv, StAY, and StPieRR, as well as Arnaud Fournier from "Hint" who will play the saxophone.
