First drawn to drawing and painting, Marjolaine Vuarnesson was introduced to photography with film and Polaroid. In 2019, she starts working on the editing of a series withLjubisa Danilovic and Sabrina Biancuzzi who animate the Milk Masterclass Photography. She meets Julien Magre who was the sponsor of the event. "We worked on a selection of recent and older images. The prints of the color images mixed with the Polaroid negatives and something happened: an emotion at the diptychs that were starting to appear " Marjolaine creates works by letting herself be carried away by the vagaries of chemistry, exploring her most intimate questions. In Apparitions, she serializes her own story. That of a lonely woman who still dreams of ideal love. Who fights his emotional dependence, while wanting to make the choice of independence following several romantic disappointments. It is the little girl who lives in us, who imagines Prince Charming, the perfect fusional relationship ... But it is also the woman who realizes that this story only exists in her dreams ... A metaphorical project where the imaginary and the real intersect to weave a story with multiple interpretations. She hides faceless bodies in the negatives, like ghosts that haunt her dreams...
