After having spent seven years in Quebec where I was both studying ancient history and anthropology, and presiding over Basque people in Quebec society, I came back to Basque Country to launch an original concept, inspired by what I had seen and learnt from my different travels around the world. This is how the beautiful adventure named Martxuka has begun three years ago, at Urrugne's town square.</p> <p>  </p> <p> I am Thibault, I am from Saint-Jean-de-Luz and I am 27. After having studied entrepreneurship, I travelled to Australia and then to New-York where I was working at Léna Coffee. Time for me now to share with you what I have learnt abroad and to offer you quality service in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. After three years working in Urrugne's small tearoom in Urrugne's town square, we felt like giving a new breath of life to this project.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Thibault wanted to open a café in Saint-Jean, Adélaïde was thinking of making her concept wider and giving it touches of novelty. It's all naturally and because we already successfully worked together that we decided to gather our strength and energy to fulfill this dream.</p> <p> Do you want to know everything about this project?</p> <p>  </p> <p> Martxuka will be a mix of several things:</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Im6-1478777663-1479824999" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/370991/im6-1478777663-1479824999.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>A café, tea room:</strong> At Martxuka you can enjoy a delicious coffee roasted close by, at Kikeran, a large selection of tea, a creamy hot chocolate, fresh fruits smoothies, homemade pastries, but also tasty sandwiches, wraps, talos, salads and soups. Brunch will also be available on Saturdays and Sundays mornings. Jewels, ceramics, décoration, all kind of accessories for women, men, children and babies, a wide range of organic beauty products,... Our furniture will also be handmade, built out of recycled palette wood. You will be able to take the most out of this friendly place, where the little ones and prams are always welcome, to attend various workshop for adults or children organized at Martxuka: sewing workshops, aromatherapy/phytotherapy workshops, DIY, cooking classes in both French and Euskara, linguistic workshops, and so on. A wide range of possibilities ! Martxuka will also be a place where one can relax. Therefore, it is with great attention and pleasure that we will organise for you the perfect event. We offer great formulas for baby showers and for adults or kids birthdays where we customise cakes and decoration just as you want it to be ! Historia eta antropologia ikasteko 7 urtez Québecen bizi izan nintzen. Bertako Euskal Etxeko lehendakaria izan nintzen lau urtez eta euskal diasporaren munduan inplikatu nintzen. Euskal Herrira itzuli eta atzerrian ezagututakoak eraginik, proiektu berezi baten sortzen hasi nintzen. Horrela zen sortu Urruña erdiguneko Martxuka, orain dela hiru urte. </em></p> <p>  </p> <p> <em>Thibault naiz, 27 urte ditut eta Donibane Lohitzunekoa naiz. Enpresa sormenean ikasketak egin eta, Australian eta New Yorken ibili nintzen zenbait lan esperientzia lortzeko. New Yorkeko Léna Coffee-an lan egin eta, ongi egindako kaferaren gustua Donibanera hedatu nahi nuke. </em></p> <p>  </p> <p> <em>Urruñako herriaren bihotzean hiru urtez lan egin eta, proiektu horri berritasun aire bat emateko gogoa izan dugu. Thibaultek kafe bat idekitzeko asmoa zuen eta Adelaidek bere proiektuari beste dimentsio bat eman nahi zion. Elgarrekin jadanik oso ongi lan egin zutenez, elgarrekin lan egiteko erabakia hartu dute. Bitxiak, zeramika, apaingarriak, gizonezko, emakume, haur eta umeentzat opariak aurkituko dituzue. Martxuka edozein ekitaldi antolatzeko gunea izango da. Zuen ekitaldientzat formula bereziak proposatuko dizkizuegu: “baby shower”, haur ala helduen urtebetetze... gelaren eta bixkotxen apainketa eskaera bakoitzari egokituz. </em></p> <p> <em>Horrez gain, coktail karta bat proposatuko dizuegu, baita Euskal Herriko artisau edariak ere.</em></p>
