We have been updating on the project via Facebook and our blog but neglected our crowdfunding supporters.

On a more positive note, we are here to give you some good news!

Thanks to your support, our puppet shows have reached almost 10 000 children in Central and South America. We've already passed from all Latin American countries (except Mexico and Venezuela): Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, and then again Peru and Ecuador. We are currently in Colombia and in November we will be going back to Central America passing from all 6 Central American countries, to conclude the project this December in Guatemala.

And more good news:

Since we have been pretty bad in keeping up on the updating part and rewards, we decided to open this project to you. Let us explain ourselves: if anyone of you is tempted to accompany us in this adventure for November and December in Central America, you are welcome to do so and volunteer for the project. You would accompany us travelling in our VW Kombi (La Guata) to all our shows from the beginning of November until mid-December. We have room for one or maximum two volunteers. Let us know if you are interested by sending us a message via Facebook or email (titeresenruta@gmail.com) until the 31st of August 2016. We will have skype conversations with the candidates and in mid-September announce the selected volunteer(s).

And let us reiterate that we have not forgotten your rewards. We do promise you will get them. It has been quite hard to send you the rewards before (technical reasons). Apologies for that but we will make up for this.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you on the road!

Warm coffee-scent greetings from Colombia,

Helene & Roberto

Dearest friends,

This email is to thank you all for your invaluable support! We've reached 158% of our goal which would mean 58% more smiles! Your contributions allow us to visit more communities and offer more puppet shows and workshops for free.

Here's a 1000 thankyous to each one of you!

http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1Vq7HG

We will be updating you on the trip, but for those who want to keep an eye on the project, here is our website: http://enrutaporlainfancia.wordpress.com/

Thank you again!

Helene & Roberto

Dear friends,

Dear supporters,

This email is to update you on our ongoing project

Results

Thanks to your help, our puppet show has already reached more than 700 children in Central America, in both urban and rural areas.

News

We are currently in Panama and today we had our last three presentations since tomorrow we will embark the car for Colombia and we two (Helene & Roberto) will fly to Medellin. This weekend we have several shows already arranged in Cali, Colombia.

Puppet show

Everything has been great. The children are always very excited with the puppet show and the three puppets (monsters Trikitri & Trukutru and 'Goussy' the worm). Through the show the puppets pass a message of human rights and children's rights' respect (right to a name, to a nationality, right to education, to alimentation, to health, prohibition of discrimination and prohibition of child labour etc). They are always very interactive and participative. One of the highlights was a show we donated in an orphanage called Ciudad del Niño here in Panama and all thanks to its great children.

Inconvenience

The only problem we had was in Costa Rica, when the attendant in a gas station of Total Oil Company put Diesel instead of Super in our car... Since the car is pretty delicate, we had serious mechanical problems after than, fact that caused us a more than two weeks delay in our schedule and several hundreds of dollars loss in our budget! Thankfully the car is back to normal and ready to have a boat ride to Colombia!

Update

The last but not least, is an important update we have to announce. After a positive occurrence, Helene will have to be for a few months in Chile, working as well on human rights. Therefore, Roberto will continue our action from Colombia to Chile passing from Ecuador and Peru with another friend who will be replacing Helene for those two months. Her name is Somer Swift and will help Roberto bring the project to Chile. In Chile, the team will be again us two, Roberto and Helene. Will focus a lot on schools in rural areas of Chile and when our stay there ends, we will continue the road back north, going this time from the atlantic coast of the continent (Argentina, Brazil etc).

Post cards and the rest will reach you sometime soon (for those who worry...!)!

Greetings from Panama,

Helene & Roberto

Hi everybody!

Here is a link to our first little video about the project! The adventure begins!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4DrrkOCGL4&feature=youtu.be

Thank you for your support!

Thanks to everyone who contributed so far, we've reached the goal of the campaign 30 days before the deadline! That means that there are more than 20 days left for donations! You all deserve this: http://axonnsd.org/WebData/FlashFun/flash/thankyou.swf ...!

The costs are estimated to arise beyond 10 000 euros, so we are hoping to make this campaign as successful as possible, to be able to arrive in the maximum of rural communities and offer puppet shows to children, promoting at the same time the rights of the child.

Thank you again!

Helene & Roberto
