Red Hot - Vintage Food Truck

<p>As someone who loves to create and is passionate about <strong>American cooking and baking</strong>, I've decided to take on the challenge of joining the "street food" movement here in France. </p>
<p>Follow me on this tasty adventure!</p>
<p>This year I bought a<strong> 'vintage' 1974 </strong>French 'George et Jacques' camper. At the time of its construction, it was already a <strong>throw-back to the 1950s</strong> with its rounded silhouette and lovely symmetry.<img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/624695/caravan_exterior_in_yard-1571307598.jpg" width="100%" /></p>
<p>I have started to bring the caravan up to European health and food service standards (HACCP norms). It's the beginning of a time-consuming, expensive and ambitious project for this mom of three busy boys, and a very happy one.</p>
<h2><strong>What am I going to serve??</strong></h2>
<p>America's favorite dishes, of course, especially in the 1950s!</p>
<p><strong>The Hamburger: </strong>100% beef, 100% authentique!</p>

<p><strong>The Real American Hot Dog:</strong> No <em>baguette </em>served here! What if you add cheese? A Cheese Dog! And what if you add chili? A Chili Dog! And why not a Chili Cheese Dog? The possibilities are endless! (you US and UK folk may be familiar with the variations of a hot dog, but the French Market is about to discover them all...)</p>

<p><strong>French Fries:</strong> Okay, yes, this one is actually already named for this country, but Onion Rings are not, and are also a specialty that has been greatly underexploited here. <strong>Fries and Rings: Hamburger and Hot Dog's BFFs.</strong></p>

<p>And of course, a hot coffee, cold drinks, frosty beer, tea and herbal tea, and hot chocolate for when the weather is chilly.</p>

<p>The <em><strong>Red Hot Vintage Food Truck</strong></em> is a unique idea, warm, clean, and welcoming with a happy ambiance, especially when I slip out of my kitchen whites and disguise myself as the <strong>perfect 1950s hostess</strong>:</p>

<p>Clients will find this little camper converted into a professional kitchen, in line with European norms, giving the distinct impression of having travelled back in time to the age of Rockabilly, drive-ins and moderate inflation rates.</p>

<p>So what goes into a project like this? Your donation will start the ball rolling on equipping the interior of the truck with<strong> three vital pieces of equipment</strong>:</p>

<p>No, of course, NOT magic. Crowdfunding, a bank loan, personal investment, and lots of hard work.</p>
<p>Any funds raised that <strong>surpass my goal </strong>will go towards expenses related to training and permits, and the eventual repainting of the exterior of the camper, or possibly investing in a vinyl full-cover wrap for the exterior.</p>
