Sari ESSEC - A new roof for the children of New Nepal Society Center

<h3><strong>WHAT IS NEW NEPAL SOCIETY (NNSC) ? </strong></h3> <h3><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/596516/IMG_20170924_160004-1558450641.jpg" /></h3> <p>Founded in 2007, New Nepal Society Center is a non-profit organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It provides&nbsp;to more than 50 children&nbsp;from poverty stricken families and orphans&nbsp;free care, mentoring, tutoring and hostel facilities. Thanks to the New Nepal Society Center, these kids have the&nbsp;chance to grow up in a&nbsp;healthy, peaceful&nbsp;and loving environment.&nbsp;</p> <p>The center solely relies on donations, crowdfunding and solidarity from caring neighbours.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/596778/Screen_Shot_2019-05-22_at_19.57.37-1558534543.png" /></p> <h3><strong>OUR TEAM</strong></h3> <h3><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/596525/Screen_Shot_2019-05-21_at_20.54.36-1558451439.png" width="100%" /></h3> <p>We&nbsp;are Perla, Charmine and Rapha&euml;l, three 20 year-old french business students.&nbsp;We&#39;re part of the student association Sari ESSEC, an association which aim&nbsp;is to support&nbsp;the health and education of children across Nepal and India.&nbsp;</p> <p>We have been volunteering at New Nepal Society Center for 1 week now and our will to help the children grew tremendously as soon as&nbsp;we met them in person. They are always willing to learn new things and are very mature. We learn from them as much as they&nbsp;learn from us. They really are&nbsp;worth a bright future.&nbsp;</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/596778/Screen_Shot_2019-05-22_at_19.57.37-1558534543.png" /></p> <h3><strong>OUR PROJECT&nbsp;</strong></h3> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>A great feeling of security lies in one&rsquo;s shelter, a shelter which will protect one from scorching sun, wind, rain, cold, unknown people...&nbsp;NNSC is a shelter for 51 children and we cannot be more grateful for being able to provide a home&nbsp;for&nbsp;the needy children.</p> <p>During the past few years, NNSC has known many improvements (the pavement, new mattresses, toilet renovations&hellip;). However, there is today a high need for maintenance of the roofs considering the soon to approach monsoon and the leaking problem in the kids&rsquo; rooms.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/596519/IMG_8959-1558450718.JPG" /></p> <p>Currently the tin roof of the center is held by 10-year-old bamboos under it, so there is no balance of tins causing it to slope and making space for water leakage.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/596521/IMG_5804_2-1558450771.JPG" /></p> <p>This time when we repair, we want to put a base of iron under the tin roof so that it is stronger and keeps the roof stable, preventing from&nbsp;leakage.</p> <p>The 50% of the old tins are in good condition which can be used but we are also in need of remaining 50% stainless tins to cover the roof.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/596522/IMG_4563-1558450802.JPG" /></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>To start this repairing work, we are in need of sponsors who can support us.
