St.Lô

In less than a year, St.Lô revealed itself as a rare musical experience full of soul and rage on the best French venues. Since Les Transmusicales 2012, the dark, elegant alchemy between American singer and performer Mezz Walidah and the groove delivered by her Breton accomplices iOta, Ton's and docMau, captures a wider audience at each new appearance.

The album

After some time discussing with several partners, we have finally decided to carry out our debut album in total independence, free to decide the turn our artistic direction will take and assuming that over the past three years our tracks had reached a state of completion. So as to fulfill our goal, we need just as much support and warm appreciation from our audience that has constantly built up in both love and loyalty, gig after gig.

We are St.Lô because You are St.Lô !

Alongside a team of committed artists - Stoëmp for the graphic design and Earl Blaize (Antipop Consortium) for the production - we started the recording of the album in our home studio, where the sound of St.Lô was crafted.

The tracks are now in the hands of Earl Blaize : after recording Mezz Walidah's voice cuts, the final production process is going on, at Headnoddas Headquarters studio, New York. Meanwhile, in Brussels, Stoëmp is busy delivering the best of sleeve art, abstract and elegant.

This debut album ought to be released in February 2014 in both cd and vinyl. It will also be the beginning of the Spring/Summer tour.
