Dear all,    After a long silence I am very happy to announce to you that a part of the project « Svalbard, an Arcticficial Life » will be exhibited in Geneva for two weeks during the month of October.   For those who can come, the exhibition will take place at the Espace d’exposition Porte de la Treille (4 rue Henry-Fazy, 1202 Genève)  from the 7th to the 21st of October (1pm-9pm)  there will be a vernissage on the 9th from 6pm to 9pm (there will also be a "pre-vernissage" on the 7th from 6pm to 9pm) You're -of course!- welcome to both of them !   For those who can’t come, I am sincerely thanking you once more for your support.   All the best to you,    Julia.   <img alt="2-1411413566" src="https://djxmmoom3injc.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/121884/2-1411413566.jpg" />

Hello everyone,   I am finally back in Geneva after 3 very exciting weeks! The weather was not as cold as expected (taking photos outside was easier that way) but the day-after-day rythm was pretty intense! I will receive the developed films the next few days, and I just can't wait!   The second part of the project sounds less fun. After a few weeks working outdoors, it is time now to turn on the computer, edit the photos and start writing a text. How exciting!   It really was a rich experience. Hello everybody,    I am reaching the end of the first part of my trip .   We are still in Longyearyben until next wednesday, and I am now getting prepared for my departure to Barenstburg. The weather has been very pleasant the last few days and we're getting 20 more minutes of daylight each day ! (just perfect to have very efficient days !) So far I am very pleased with people I meet, they are all very open and receptive to this project and help me gladly when needed. Let's hope that Russian people will be that friendly !   I can't wait to see the result of that work. Today I received an e-mail confirming that I will be welcome in Barenstburg with my assistant in the end of February. This was the last news I was expecting to end my preparations !   The planning is done ! We will take off, with Marie, my assistant, on the 16th of February.  We will spend the 1st week together in the area of Longyearbyen, and, if the ice floe doesn't melt, we would go for 2 days in the ghost town of Piramiden. Marie will go back to Switzerland on the 26th of February on the same day that I will leave Longyearbyen for Barentsburg with my local assistant, Aleksej, for 4 days. Back into town on the 1st of March, I will be preparing myself to go to the scientific town of Ny Alesund on the 3rd of March where I will spend the last 4 days of my trip thank to the Norske Billedkunstnere (association of Norwegian visual artists).   I am coming back to Europe on the 7th of March, after a 3 weeks photographic marathon !   My provision of Kodak films is ongoing.   I'll keep you updated, Have a nice weekend !   <img alt="Svalbard_2013-10_105_copie" src="https://djxmmoom3injc.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/64413/Svalbard_2013-10_105_copie.JPG" />
