________________________________________________________________________________________<br><br> It was during a jam session in the basement of a Senegalese coffee in Mélilmontant  called "Le Toukouleur" that the seven musicians first met.  While customers at the counter drinking, various artists are invited to share their music in the room below. Reggae upstairs, free jazz downstairs.<br><br>This was how Toukouleur Orchestra was born, in the nocturnal, festive and sometimes mystical atmosphere of this unique place. Combining electric and accoustic music, African rythmes and western harmony, mixing all influences, the identity of the group relies on common (or mutual) energy, the desire to share and "le groove pluriel" of the 20me arrondisment of Paris. <br>The group is made up of seven outstanding musicians :<br><br>Lucien Alfonso, violin; William Hountondji, saxophones; Ousmane Kalil Kouyaté, kora; Michael Gimenez, guitar; Sory Papus Diabaté, bass; Kounkouré, percussions; Pierre Mangeard, drums<br> <br> <h2>Qui suis-je ?</h2><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><!--[if !mso]> <mce:style><! v\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} o\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} w\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} .shape {behavior:url(#default#VML);} --> <!--[endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:DocumentProperties> <o:Template>Normal</o:Template> <o:Revision>0</o:Revision> <o:TotalTime>0</o:TotalTime> <o:Pages>1</o:Pages> <o:Words>552</o:Words> <o:Characters>3150</o:Characters> <o:Lines>26</o:Lines> <o:Paragraphs>6</o:Paragraphs> <o:CharactersWithSpaces>3868</o:CharactersWithSpaces> <o:Version>11.773</o:Version> </o:DocumentProperties> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG /> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:DoNotShowRevisions /> <w:DoNotPrintRevisions /> <w:HyphenationZone>21</w:HyphenationZone> <w:DisplayHorizontalDrawingGridEvery>0</w:DisplayHorizontalDrawingGridEvery> <w:DisplayVerticalDrawingGridEvery>0</w:DisplayVerticalDrawingGridEvery> <w:UseMarginsForDrawingGridOrigin /> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:"Times New Roman"; panose-1:0 2 2 6 3 5 4 5 2 3; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:auto; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:50331648 0 0 0 1 0;} @font-face {font-family:Arial; panose-1:0 2 11 6 4 2 2 2 2 2; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:auto; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:50331648 0 0 0 1 0;} @font-face {font-family:Garamond; panose-1:0 2 2 4 4 3 3 1 1 8; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:auto; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:50331648 0 0 0 1 0;} @font-face {font-family:Calibri; mso-font-alt:Arial; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:auto; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:50331648 0 0 0 1 0;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:justify; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; mso-hyphenate:none; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Garamond; color:black; mso-ansi-language:ES; mso-fareast-language:AR-SA;} table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-parent:""; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} @page Section1 {size:612.0pt 792.0pt; margin:70.85pt 70.85pt 70.85pt 70.85pt; mso-header-margin:36.0pt; mso-footer-margin:36.0pt; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:shapedefaults v:ext="edit" spidmax="1032" /> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:shapelayout v:ext="edit"> <o:idmap v:ext="edit" data="1" /> </o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <object width="425" height="350" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/Zk36FI0zak0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="data" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Zk36FI0zak0" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Zk36FI0zak0" /></object></strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong><br /></strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>Lucien Alfonso</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"> <strong>(violon)</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;commence le violon &agrave; l&rsquo;&acirc;ge de 6 ans et &agrave; 12 ans il entre au CNR de Toulouse.
