UBIK A MARSEILLE !

<p> <strong>What is UBIK?</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> UBIK is an art project that moves around in the public sphere.   Borrowing from carnival parades, UBIK is a desert mounted on a truck and driven around the city of Marseille for a week.   This motorised landscape reverses the idea of travel and postcards: an exotic backdrop moves to us in our everyday living spaces. UBIK proposes a motionless journey to pretend or make believe that we are elsewhere.   Calling all amateurs of the incongruous and selfie addicts! We need you to enable the cacti truck to site itself in front of the Bonne Mère, the famous Canebière boulevard, the Northern Districts, the Old Port, the new MuCEM museum and other photogenic and therefore emblematic locations around the city.</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Ubik-sketch-1426248332" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/173129/ubik-sketch-1426248332.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p> —</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>Who is Kolkoz?</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> Kolkoz is a French art duo composed by Benjamin Moreau and Samuel Boutruche. What is the context?</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> We propose the UBIK project as part of “FOMO”, a sensational exhibition curated by Sextant &amp; + at the Friche Belle de Mai in Marseille in May.   FOMO is the acronym for the “Fear Of Missing Out” syndrome. This exhibition transposes the postcard to the digital age of social networking. Each of the 3 floors of the Tour Panorama captures a different sequence: dawn, zenith, sunset.
