Un Monde Nouveau, la série documentaire portée par Cyril Dion

A whole New World -Un Monde Nouveau- is a French series of three documentary-events that proposes a three-step plan to fight against climate change and how to: Resist, Adapt, Regenerate. Produced by Galaxie, in collaboration with Le Cinquième Rêve, created by Cyril Dion, co-written with Valérie Rossellini, and directed by Thierry Robert, it will be broadcast on ARTE in the fall of 2022. Traveling the world to more than fifteen countries, Cyril Dion takes us on a journey to meet people who have revolutionized a region, country, or mission. These women and men have regenerated the Earth and its oceans, created the schools of tomorrow or invented the democracy of the future. They are mobilized on a daily basis to give our planet its second life. In this long journey across the five continents, Cyril Dion offers us a new story of a fairer global civilization, which gives hope: A whole New World. We are now calling on your donations to be able to finish the post-production of this hopeful series, shot during the pandemic, and to be able to spread solutions on the issue of climate change as widely as possible around the world by supporting an international distribution. By participating in funding the project, you too can become actors of the movement of A whole New World -Un Monde Nouveau- ! 3.5 billion people now live in territories made vulnerable by climate change. Droughts, heat waves, unbearable temperatures in many countries of the world: on our screens every day we witness the dramatic consequences of these changes that are becoming more widespread. It is essential to act now. We are Galaxie Presse, a production company that has been involved for more than 30 years in the audiovisual landscape (France Télévisions, Canal +, ARTE...) and VOD platforms (Disney +, National Geographic...). Through our films, we tell strong and authentic stories. From the start, it seemed obvious to us to carry out this project with Cyril Dion. The films were conceived as a three-part plan. Each episode raises and explores a major dimension of action in the face of climate change: RESIST: How to engage a form of resistance and create a full panorama of strategies? ADAPT: How to adapt to the consequences of climate disruption that are already underway and causing shocks? REGENERATE: How can we rebuild our societies and regenerate natural systems, our economic, democratic and social systems? The Franco-German channel ARTE has largely financed this project - up to 80% - and will broadcast the series during an exceptional evening at prime time. Television is a popular medium, watched by everyone, and ARTE is thus fulfilling a powerful public service mission. These documentaries should enable viewers to better inform themselves to fight climate change today. Following the overruns caused by a shooting in the middle of the COVID pandemic, we still have to complete the post-production budget. Our objective is also to multiply its distribution with the help of an international distributor and to inscribe this collection in an educational and citizen approach. We need you more than ever! This project is the result of several encounters between committed individuals: Cyril Dion imagined and co-wrote it with Valérie Rossellini, his producer friend Fabrice Papillon at Galaxie Presse immediately wanted to bring his commitments and vision of the world to the screen and introduced him to the director Thierry Robert, with whom the collaboration was fruitful and an obvious choice.
