UrSpots - Your spot sharing platform

<p>Urspots will be a website first, then a mobile app. It will propose to users an interactive map allowing people to look for and to search for action sports spots. Those sports will be categorized under the names of Street, Skatepark, On-Road Downhill, Off-Road Downhill, Snowpark, Freeride &amp; Waves.</p><p> </p><p><img alt="Storyboard-1493798861" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/419609/Storyboard-1493798861.jpg"></p><p> </p><p>Urspots is based on sharing values.</p><p> </p><p>Let's go from top left hand corner:</p><p>--&gt; You don't know where to ride</p><p>--&gt; Then you decide check spots around you on Urspots</p><p>--&gt; You find the closest spots near you and have fun!</p><p> </p><p>Let's go from top right hand corner:</p><p>--&gt; You know spots in the area</p><p>--&gt; You want to share them through Urspots and acquire the "Spotter" status</p><p>--&gt; Your spots will be shared taking into consideration the confidentiality chosen: "Friends only" or "Public"!</p><p> </p><p>Urspots' way of thinking is all about the community aspect. Thanks to this service, wherever you are you will find spots in your area, offering a huge choice to the community. We already own the biggest spots' data base. Approximately 18 000 spots has been taken with our agreement with a former website "Youspots".</p><p> </p><p>However, we all know that in these kind of sports, there are many inconvenients of sharing spots publicly. This is why UrSpots has the idea to create a "riders map" as well. The purpose is to allow people travelling to meet locals and ride with them to discover new spots. He has always been into action sports. Practicing surf, kitesurf and stand-up paddle from a long time ago, he loves water sports. Moreover, he is really keen on going in the backcountry to shred some powder with his snowboard in the mountains close to his business school. This project is important to him because it happened lots of times that he did not know where to go riding and take the most of the weather conditions. This is why he decided to take a step in this adventure with his two mates for riders not to be in this situation anymore.</p><p> </p><p>Quentin is 21 and studying at Grenoble Ecole de Management.  He likes every kind of board sports but since his 13 he chose to practice freeboard, a type of summer snowboard! He is now pro-rider for FREEBORD MFG! In this sport, he has often been frustrated by the lack of information about potential spots which where really close. He was a former fan of Youspots and has been really concerned by it's end. He is now really proud and happy to relaunch the service he loved! He will be in charge of the marketing, communication and community management with Louis!</p><p> </p><p>Baptiste is an engineer student aged of 20 years old. He is a musician and loves mountain, always down for bike or freeboard run. He really like climbing and constantly dreaming of fresh air! He will be in charge of the proper development of the website and the app.</p><p> </p><p>Robin is a 20 years old student in accouting and management. He is passionated about mountain activities such as hiking and snowboarding. He is also fond of mountain climbing that he practices since 5 years. Scout and Guide of France, motivated by discovering the world, UrSpots represents the opportunity to find new spots and meet new people sharing the same passion! In this project, He will be in charge of the media relations and the management of partnerships.</p><p> </p><p>The group has been formed thanks to shared passions. Quentin and Baptiste met during high school close to Paris, they had same friends but they became very good friends at climbing lessons. Quentin initiate Baptiste to freeboard and start to ride regularly together. After highschool, Quentin met Louis during their studies. They became really friends because they both shared the love of skiing and snowboarding in the powder! They have been flatmate and Baptiste came to visit them regularly! This is when they started to think of Urspots.</p><p> </p><p>The launch of the website depends on this crowdfunding success. On the long term, our objectives are to add new categories to gather more members in the community but also to create the app. It will have the same goals and ambitions than the website while having a user experience enhanced on mobile. This will lead to a more nomad and accessible use, and why not directly on the spots?</p>
