Let me share my music with you!

I have recently recorded an EP, and would love to release it.

But what's a release without a music video?

I've been wanting to make this video for a long time, even before I had the idea to record a mini album.

ORIGIN OF THE IDEA

I'm a Belgian musician, with Indonesian roots. When I was on a vacation in Bali a few years ago, I was immediatly impressed by the traditional Balinese dance. The movements can be very fluent and elegant, but at the same time they are very mechanical. And it's this contrast that really appeals to me.

Once I was back in Belgium, I composed 'The Bubble'. But I could not forget about the Balinese dance. And although my music sounds nothing like the traditional music that is used for the dances, the dance certainly had a big influence on how the song was written.

THE DANCERS

Meet Putri, the main character of the video.

The cool thing about 10 year old girls, is that they are girly but still have this playful side.

When she practices her Balinese dance, she is very focussed and elegant. But dare to blink, and she runs off with a quirky grin.

Mayumi is Putri's dance teacher.

She will make the choreography and also star in de video.

COSTUMES

The styling will be done by TJ Concepts.

I'm very happy we can work together on this project, because I feel like his style will fit the music / video just perfect. We both like the mix 'Bold but Elegant' - 'Urban & Ethnic'. And he does a great job combining those elements.
