<p> Local women's handicrafts is a small fair  trade sewing  collective located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Further, we want to ensure the durability  of the business and employ more women. This is why we are building more working space in a village close to Kathmandu. I've been traveling for 2 years now and i am currently living in Nepal (for 2 1/2 months). Whilst traveling, I try to immerse myself in the culture and stay with locals to get a better understanding of the country. After  3 weeks of volunteering  in a village (carrying rocks to build a new school and teaching English) I came back to Kathmandu to apply for my Indian visa. During one of my strolls in the busy streets of Thamel, I came upon a little handicraft shop. Nasreen's shop. I got deeply touched by her story, her smile, her energy and her strength. It's incredible how far her dreams have lead her. I feel grateful to know her. She is such an inspiring woman and she deserves respect, admiration.  There you have it.
