BEACHBIRD is a soon-to-be coffee shop in Aix-en-Provence, in the south of France, serving homemade pastries and drinks, fresh savory dishes, and specialty coffee. It is a hybrid of French and American flavors and textures with a relaxed California vibe. Ingredients will be seasonal, locally sourced, and organic as much possible.

The bird, that's me! Originally an inside joke, a nickname given to me by my one and only, I grew to love what a bird represents: Free to fly across borders, and make a home where he pleases, not unlike my own experience. BEACHBIRD is inspired by the different places I've lived in, most of which a short distance from the beach: I grew up in California, studied in Barcelona and in Brazil, and am just settling in in Aix-en-Provence.

Behind BEACHBIRD is a fierce redhead looking to bring a fresh twist on American sweets. I grew up in a family in the culinary business and since food has always been my priority.

After a short (too long) detour in the FMCG world, I quit my corporate job to study French pastry at one of the finest culinary institutes, Ferrandi Paris, earning my CAP Pâtissier diploma. I interned for inspiring female entrepreneurs: with Bérénice Leconte at VG Patisserie, where I learned to bake delicious vegan pastries, and with Johanna Roques at Jojo&Co, where creativity was bustling and new recipes were created on the weekly. Since, I've been researching and testing my own recipes to bring you new, innovative dishes, desserts, and drinks.

The coffee shop will be based in the historical center of Aix-en-Provence, in a quiet street, a bit off the beaten track.

The actual shop location needs work, but there is a lot of potential, and that's where you come in!
