PEDALING 4 PEACE
PEDALING 4 PEACE (Pedaler for Peace) is a project of Clowns Without Borders Belgium in partnership with several Hungarian and Ukrainian humanitarian associations. Our clown Jan Slagen will cycle across Europe, from Brussels to the border area between Ukraine and Hungary. This bike trip is our way of launching crowdfunding for the purchase of juggling equipment and educational tools for a humanitarian mission on the border between Hungary and Ukraine in May - June 2022. But this bike trip is also our way of saying NO to war and expressing our solidarity with the Ukrainian people. It is a provocation, a memory and a testimony that violence continues, but also a reminder of the vulnerability of men and women to the deadly power of military violence. On his arrival, Jan will meet other CSF artists and together they will work to bring laughter and joy to the children and families victims of the war.
Allocation of funds
Through this crowdfunding, we would like to finance the educational material necessary for a successful artistic and humanitarian mission in the border area between Hungary and Ukraine, as well as the daily perdiem for artists. In detail: - juggling equipment (balls, clubs, diabolos, flower sticks, costumes, etc.) - artistic material (pencils, paper, paint, etc.) - Ukrainian translation and printing of our educational guide Peace Through Laughter - perdiem for Clowns Without Borders artists
