Jewel of Comorian arts and crafts, the distillation of ylang-ylang provides a livelihood for more than 50% of the rural population in Anjouan.
Yet the Comorian Ylang-Ylang market has been strongly impacted by the slowdown in world exports.
Very little cash flow is injected into the sector which usually operates on a "just-in-time" basis and this implies the total loss of income for a large number of households. Currently hundreds of families find themselves in a situation of great vulnerability.

This is why the Interprofession (which represents flower producers, pickers and distillers) supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Anjouan, appeal for support from the Comorian community, perfumers, institutional donors and the public, in order to mobilize and save the Ylang sector and its workers!

La Distillery de Saloi, which is very involved in the development of the sector, has been appointed to manage the communication and the establishment of the online presale platform.
