We are two Slovak girls who came and fell in love with Paris in 2006. After our studies in one of the business schools, and after a few years of professional experience in the white collar world, our passion for healthy eating and well-being brings us to 112, rue Saint-Maur, the future location of our café.

Thank you, my deer is a gluten free café, which offers homemade bread and cakes made with the best natural ingredients without any artificial preservatives. Our café serves hot beverages, fresh fruit and vegetable juices as well as drinks made of superfood (such as chia seeds or goji berries) to accompany sandwiches, salads and waffles.

Our goal is to allow gluten intolerant and sensitive people as well as their friends and family, to enjoy homemade freshly prepared, healthy and tasty dishes.

Today, 3 % of the French population deals with some sort of food allergy. 1 % of the population suffers from gluten intolerance, that makes around 60 000 people declared intolerant to gluten. However, estimates suggest that 600 000 are sensitive to gluten. According to these figures, there is approximately 100 000 people who would benefit from gluten free foods in the region of Ile-de-France alone. In addition, a gluten free diet is a developing health trend that is taking off worldwide and is being promoted by big celebrities such as Novak Djokovic or Victoria Beckham.

Once a niche market, gluten-free diets have become an important and growing business. It represents 2 billion USD in the US. Compared to the Anglo-Saxon countries, the current offerings in France doesn’t correspond to demand. Homemade and freshly prepared food that considers gluten content, is almost non-existent.
